NVM, figured it out. In case anyone else was wondering...
The Asteriod miners are "tied in" with the stations, so you can dock with the asteriod miners and end up at the station (can be a useful shortcut :cool:). Where you launch from is random, so its possible to not only launch from the station but to also be launched from an asteriod miner associated with the station.

Man... don't you understand? it was a bug. About that almost no hull thing: Well maybie because they still had the hull of a starflier and i was in a cruiser. But bs being so big are VERY easy to hit.... so i guess it was a star flyer hull and alll the turrets of a cruiser can knock down a starflier.
