I think you would probably be fine with any Italian or Spanish, or even Ietnaglliiasnh for one simple reason.
It would be incredibly obvious that you were completely in Roleplay. You can't be offended by someone completely in RP...

There IS the chance that someone whose native tongue is Spanish might find whatever insult I pick up particularly offensive.
Hell, one of our admins first language is Spanish, maybe some advice from Korrd would help here, huh?

I think it's elderberries, but I like what you're saying. The only problem is, as perfectly polite as it may seem, it's not very convincing. More likely, the "insultee" will assume you are OOC and only encourage our latest and greatest problem. I think this would be especially problematic if you were to talk over someone's head (as clever as your diction may be, Mal.) It's best just to avoid the whole issue. The only insult you could really ever get away with is to call someone what they actually are with obvious distaste...
