Hahaha, how many times can you bounce off a star?

' Wrote:Well, such trophy could be stored on the faction trophy ship / bank....
Also, a chart about the games will be held, where all the players who won a medal [and all participants also] will be shown.
I'm concerned with the event mechanics now, like scoreboard, ladders, and the like.. How should it be?
' Wrote:I like this idea very much, actually. And also, I think the commodities should be mountable, so if, say, Razr and his team from the [SA] win (Just an example...), then they get to equip it on their ships as a token of their superiority in whichever event the team won in. Kind of like a status token if you will. Such as Kiggles said.
' Wrote:Making the items mountable means to add hardpoints to a lot of ships. And as Igiss has little time to spare, that would delay the beta for quite a while.
In comparison, adding a few commodities would be much easier.

But..guys...we don't need another hardpoint for the mountable medal..we have one..all ships have it...and we all use it...

armor upgrade...medal could be armor upgrade mk vIII (or cap mk VIII for capital ships) but with changed info card to say that it is bronze, silver or gold medal....

make it part of equip sold only on admin base...nothing else but simple copy/paste of armor stats and changing inforcard...and one line added to be sold at admin base equipment dealer..that could work, right?

Like.. wow...

Excellent idea - The "medals" might be pieces of equipment in general - depending on the challenge. They'd naturally be of far better quality, than the ones commonly availible.

The Discovery Olympic Games - Doom - 10-18-2007

well i meant armor upgrade specifically...same stats as normal armor...nothing special...
it is image that counts not the stats....

The Discovery Olympic Games - Caribe - 10-18-2007

How about instead of makeing the "medals" for something in game, just pin the awards in the fourm some where and have siggies available with the medels in them.

The Discovery Olympic Games - kiggles - 10-18-2007

Korrd I think you should put a guard system or 2 in the race but make them like optianal short cuts, as it is possible to get through them and it is not actualy all that hard.

I just tested and I made it through Illinosis without taking a single shot and then I only took a few shots getting through Hiroshima and that was because I was trying to change my scanner to look for the JH into Honshu.

But anyway I guess it is up to you and should be fun what ever.:)

The Whole idea is awesome. I love it, try to get it done for the final version of 4.84. im exited by the idea of spectating alone.

A new sport was pioneered in Bretonia a couple of weeks ago.

Starflier Jousting!

Starfliers, without guns, ram each other in an attempt to destroy the other. It is quite the pastime for certain Privateers.

Sure it was.

We, being hotshot Bretonian fighter pilots, wanted to try a new, extremely high-risk sport in cheap Liberty-made escape pods.

And yes, we played it out 'in character'. It's called 'creativity', folks!:P
