The problem then is Kusari capship patrols...is there even a place where there aren't any patrols of either side? I've seen them jump in many different places in Tau-31 and Leeds...including the -31 side of the jump gate, sometimes two capship groups at a time.

If you read my post properly you'll see that I wrote it down. - What kind of patrols are where + numers.
I believe Endinburg JH is pretty much without capship patrols.

Pardon, but I did read your post, and neither offered location was the Edinburgh JH; and neither was listed as having no or few patrols.
From my experience flying as a Gaian, though, you're right; not much by way of patrols there, and there's a nearby minefield to potentially make things interesting.
EDIT: Also, on the Edinburgh side of the hole, there's nothing more than bounty hunters. So we'd have some space in either direction for the battle to move with relatively little NPC interference. Good suggestion, Mjolnir, I think it might work nicely.

The reason that we had suggested the Bretonian side of the Tau 31-Leeds Border is because this is where the KNF's furthest reach is, and where they appear to be pushing forwards in the story...

I'm not arguing; I just want to make that clear. I'm simply trying to figure out where we're going to be starting. =P (btw, unfortunately there is much preparing to do before my dad flies in...I don't know if I can make it. Don't expect me, basically...but I will do my utmost.)
