You know my stance on racism, and you know i have a very big pool of tolerance for bull**** (im still here aint i?:D). but people tend to get carried away, and then its really hard to find a point where to stop- a point where you think "maybe we're pushing it too far..?"
instead of challenging that boundary, people should avoid taking everything in the wrong way, become more tolerant, and for once, try and understand the other sides' arguement/points as well. shouting over each other has given no results, i think that message would be quite clear on disco given the events of the past 2 years now, but it just doesnt seep through. prolly cuz of this being the intertubes? maybe. or perhaps people are just thick/stuck in their own mindset, refusing to allow an outside opinion through.
sure, propoganda exists. you also have the choice to listen to it or ignore it. you have the choice to extract the sweet juices of success from it and leave behind the whittled remains of nasty pulp- cider anyone?. racism will exist everywhere we go. its just natural in this world. you're the bigger man (or woman) if you can ignore the bull**** and continue living your chilled out life. as proven in the past for me, violence causes nothing but more violence and problems. ignore the fools, and they're left hanging looking stupid.
ofcourse, this doesnt mean dont take a stand for what you believe in, just it doesnt mean you always have to be sarcastic/rude/arrogant/etc about it. yknow, lets make it more like a formal debate than a fish market selling fresh cod for 20p per fish.
i might be wandering off, and making random points, but i blame the lack of sleep. so, i have just one thing to say to you all.

i just don´t agree in one point wich refers to the "muslim RP group" but it has nothing to do with the all idea you made there.
Racism is everywhere, you just need to keep fighting it. Even in a joke it's bad, even if is a friend of yours is bad. We just cannot accept that free speech gives reason to hatred. And this freedom is all around us, and many don't realize that mocking others religion, ideas, and way of life, is also racism and prejudice.

Anyway.. I don't think we should have it here. Nor should have anything. There is no cultural stuff in game. There is totaly other world and all RL things are unrelated. Thus some groups might have references to rl nations or cultures they aren't exact nations or cultures of our times.
Corsairs? ... yes some of them might have middle east blood. It's fine.
Bretonians .. some might had scottish blood and so on.
Anyway that shouldn't serve as reference to rl in any form or sense.

In your never ending crusede remeber: then you look at the abyss, abyss also gazes at you. Some people becomes passive racist themselves, then start to blame everything on that subject and don't even concider any other explantions. Sometimes it even resorts to violance which basicly... no matter the cause, if you use same methods you not better than those you are "fighting"
Besides. I don't find anything wrong with being racist in game mean in chracter. Hell outcasts do that all the time. Same does the corsairs. So as long some group hates some other group in rp for being someone they do not like.. it's ok. As long as it's not taken srsly in player level. About the arabic stuff... it's not this case.
