I would not mind adv debi's and adv debi turrets on freeports. I would love being able to buy them without getting stuck on detroit:D

As Doom has pointed out on another thread Adv Debs drop from Freelancers.

This was a revelation to me as my Xeno had nowhere else to go for a shield buster.

Voted no.

All houses and larger factions (pirates, independents and so on...) should have some little "tizzie" of their own. I'd get rid of the capship inferno tho - in favour of a bomber-mounted heavy shield buster. (SB+Supernova combo, since launching 2 supernovas ins't possible)

The corsairs have the tizzie and the Titan. The Outcasts ahve a mediocre Falcata and the inferno. Based on this - all houses should have an ace up their sleeve. Eg: Rheinland has overally crappy guns. But could get some fighter shield buster and EMP gun for bombers to compensate their regular guns' defficiency.

Agreed, the Debiltator is a civillian gun and should be available to any faction who wishes to use it.

Voted 'no' as I agree with most of the arguments most people have already made.
1. Variety is nice; 2. We don't really need even longer fighter vs. fighter fights; 3. Even though we seek balance there should be some personalities (ups and downs) to make each faction unique; 4. Fighters should have at least some chance against the bigger ships (some "fast" access to hull damage); 5. Improvement of overall piloting (if you're comfortable inside your shield bubble for a long time you tend to get sloppy).

Specific house/factions shield busters, but I can only imagine the developing pain it would be. Making the Debs/Adv. Debs. more easily available would be one nice alternative for that.

As for the eventual atrocities (aka powerplaying) I guess we will always have some sort of it. Considering the overwhelming possibilities, it's really hard to damper them so much as to make a perfectly leveled battlefield.

I look around at the more experienced players and I have to acknowledge I have much to learn. It would be very easy for me to blame weapon/equipment balance, but I'm still killing myself much more than those aspects do. As Emily told me once, "Don't joust a bomber". She was right, it's just plain stupid considering the instant killers/shield busters combination.

So I say again, removing that aspect from the game completely is a bit too drastic.

As for the Inferno, I'd hate to see it limited for bombers.

Just the idea hijacked from McNeo.. Sounds like lots of work I know but maybe could add some depth?

While we're at it, how about making Adv.Deb Turrets 750m/s just like the guns? Seems odd they'd be 700m/s.

Kress, do you envision Outcast and allies using civilian guns? Kraken 2s are 700m/s, the Hessian's Natterturn Zwei are 750m/sec ... basically if we're going to make shield busters of various speeds to match house weaponry velocities, we should probably have unlawful shield busters in a range of velocities too.

Well I would not like personally to see Outcast aligned vessels using Adv.Deb as of RP. They already have the inferno which is well mountable on a fighter.
