Serpent what the hell are you doing snarking at my join date, and then calling ayem a "smarty"? You don't even play a molly by your own admission, and the problems we currently have are due to an official faction that doesn't play.

We're working on that, and your prejudice isnt helping.

woah... calm the heck down.

Serpentis was pointing out that prior to january, when you joined, the Mollies were very active. he just worded it badly, is all.

back on topic: Dublin seems to have calmed down since the Garda arrived, and I chatted with leader of MS, who is transporting a shipment of food, and is on his way to crete. he should arrive in january.

meanwhile, we could have more interaction with official factions from baf/corsairs/outcasts/gaians/img... Come on down, show the indies & new players how we roll...

Quote:Molly ID
Pilot carrying this ID is a Molly, who :

Cannot use any transports with more than 4,300 cargo
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats
Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime.
Quote:Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing ID
Pilot carrying this ID is employed by Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing (BMM), who :
Can trade and escort traders,
Can attack pirates and terrorists in self-defense, to protect another trader, to assist lawful forces or in defence of corporate bases. May also actively hunt Independent Pirate and Molly ID pilots.
Cannot ally with any unlawfuls,
Cannot participate in any unlawful actions except against : Kusari lawfuls and Kusari commercial factions, IMG, Kruger, Daumann and Miner ID players within the Omegas and Taus only.
Cannot land on IMG, Kruger or Daumann bases.
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Royal Liners.
Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime.

I was looking at these ID's.

Why does the BMM one allow the 'active hunting of mollies', and the Molly ID not?
scenario 1
should the molly id be changed to include the active hunting of BMM?
should it be expanded to include BAF, BIS, BPA operating in Dublin?

pros/cons: since the mollies lost their enemy, the factions have died. if the armistice only applies outside dublin - i.e. mollies outside dublin are fair game, and baf/bis/bmm inside dublin are fair game - it will give mollies a purpose again

it might all turn into a pewpew fest though. this would mean that the indians would have to decide which side of the fence they are gonna come down on...

scenario 2
or should the BMM id be nerfed to remove this line.

pros/cons

whats the point of a BIS/BPA id if you can hunt characters as BMM? shouldn't bmm stick to pewpewing rocks and rock thieves? removing it would mean that it would be an indirect buff to the BPA/BIS tag.

The BMM can't hunt Mollys right now.
The Mollys can't hunt BMM right now.
According to the treaty.

According to the ID's, both can hunt each other.

Lawful includes BMM.

It's a question of the treaty, which is all roleplay.

Where are all the Mollies? - Primitive - 12-16-2010

In my opinion treaty is absurd and the very own reason why molly player count is so low.

I can understand when gallia invades allying with Bretonian lawfuls, but now...doesn't really attract players into the faction.

When people play unlawfuls...they play it to rob/shoot/terroriste house space they're in.

Well in my opinion at least.

Mollys should be all around robbing, cambridge, new london, leeds and dublin.

We now have occasional independent ones hanging around in Dublin and nothing more. I say drop the treaty until the time comes.

Where are all the Mollies? - Coin - 12-16-2010

I thought the treaty was dead and buried, and there was only an armistice?

can we up the game a little and say, molly-kind have been good so far. we've stuck to our knitting and let you stick to yours. but we have too many capital ships training in dublin (i.e. indies), and too many incidents of BMM miners in the molly field.... blah blah blah... in the interests of all things molly... the armistice now has exclusions: mollies outside dublin, and bmm/bpa/baf/bis inside dublin.

that should liven things up a bit!

That and I agree, I worded it poorly.
