...the Tech-Chart is crap. Period. To put it blunt, it's a half-assed attempt to fix something that cannot be fixed by restrictions. As others pointed already out, idiots will be idiots, just now, eventually being idiots doing ideotic crap with proper equipment. Awesome situation. Fine situation. Fixed situation.
And altering all the red cells to white cells is pretty stupid, as someone elaborated to me somewhen back, as I was still supporting that standpoint, as it opens the door to clique-pulling and friend-approving even more as it's already now.
But hey, reformations work all the time, we see that in RL, so lets keep reforming. Because it'll change our world for the better >.>
Pure-Tech server maybe, anyone? Just having white cells for your factions allies? Considering other ideas, some mentioned here already, cbf to repeat them...

Pure tech means pure tech,. That would imply you don't ever use anything which isn't produced by your faction, or freely available kit (open market civvy). No white cells... Nothing.
You wanna do that? You just said the tech chart is crap, then sugested that we replace it with the exact same thing.

That's two questions. Not one being part of the other. Or two statements together forming up one suggestion.

So either it's Pure-Tech ...or just having white cells for your factions allied factions (which is a different situation from right now actually).

Frankly, I think there are too many Red Cells. I think the majority of them should be changed to White, but keep the absolutely WTF(udge)UDOING?!?! ones Red. Like an OC using a Titan, or things like that.

I support idea or same white cells, SRP problem would dissapear for egzample Corsair defecting to Outcasts holding his Titan or Order infected agent with nomad equipment would be possible by simply RP'ing it out with faction officials and OORP/IN-RP leaders aproval.

I'm confused about the IFF thing too.
Which ID's allow you to fly without and IFF.
Can I, for example, have a LSF ID and no or a Freelancer IFF, if I want to be "undercover"?

I remember the old days... When someone made a Kraken Sabre Freelancer, nobody complained. The OC just showed up in the neighbourhood, demanded the guns and then shot him if he denied the request. Nobody complained, it was how it was.

Plus, I keep seeing lolwuts with wierd weapon mixes, today I even saw a Red Hessian in a Titan. So the chart isn't stopping lolwuttery when they REALLY want it.

That's nice, but there are people who have insignificant PvP skills and would die trying to "get their weapons back". And even if the thief was killed, what would change? Nothing. He would magically respawn, ship as good as new. This would only be useful if equipment not matching with the ID, IFF and reputation chart would burn when the ship was killed. Oh and that would mean that 6.10 would be much more pressed on.

The balance is bad as it is, don't make it even worse.
Edit: It also makes people use technology they wouldn't have used otherwise.
