What are you guys, telepathic? I was just thinking how the new one looks like a yacht, when I read these. Also, is the old one supposed to have a forward canon in that hole in front, or is that a fighter bay?

Difficult, i like the current one, its different, new, still freelancer and liberty style but a bit extraordinary.
The new modle from what i can tell of these pictures, is pretty cool too, more liberty warship, and more "steamlines", i still like it, but its a bit more traditional and has more similarities to a naval ship than the current one.

Why not keep both?
The old one goes to the LSF and the new one to the LN.
Give them separate shiplines without getting rid of the ships?

New one is more of a LSF ship imo,
however the main model of the old one I find better fitting to the Liberty ship line.

I prefer the new model cause for me it looks great. Like a small Liberty Dreadnought. it gives me the sense for a Liberty Assault Battle Cruiser.
Also it may not look in the Colors of Liberty but Liberty progresses and it brings in new designs to come above the old models.

Still, a covert capital ship doesnt make sense at all, its like making a stealth Aircraft Carrier.
