Group Banned - Friday - 04-20-2011 ' Wrote:I have the same countymen saying the opposite but these ones are not Actually this sounds more like an attempt to make the equivalent of a Serb vs. Croat soccer riot on these forums... Group Banned - Sturmwind - 04-20-2011 I find the term 'Friday' offensive after the horrid song Rebecca Black has written, yet the user is not banned due to this offense. Why not can be easily explained by the rules: Quote:3.5 Names of new characters should be set up with role-playing nature of our server in mind. This means that: As you can see, the rules cover swear words among other things, but not the nervous shock caused by song writing. The same applies to playing puns on middle-eastern terms. Accidental or not, you're violating rules, Joe is not. Group Banned - Jihadjoe - 04-20-2011 ' Wrote:brown nosed to Joes every whim. Two of those people who translated those for me, are people who I've argued with publicly on the forums. The other two are people I simply don't know. How could you say they are "brown nosing" when you don't even know who they are? Perhaps Waratah you're having the wool pulled over your eyes by your friends here. I'm going to assume you're speaking from innocent ignorance... Group Banned - Exsiled_one - 04-20-2011 Leaving nationalities out of this and focusing on the fact that language is the same pls. Agreed with The Major, but adding something. Friday as a day is awesome because of the copious amounts of liquor and weed being consumed that day, every week. If there'll be something Friday will remind me of, it'll rather be about the day I never can remember than about the song.:D Group Banned - r3vange - 04-20-2011 [color=#FFFFFF]Wait wait wait, jihad is just a word with a meaning, and not offensive at all despite the fact that some events in the past made it a bit of a taboo but it is still not offensive Group Banned - Chrysalis - 04-20-2011 ' Wrote:Actually this sounds more like an attempt to make the equivalent of a Serb vs. Croat soccer riot on these forums... Actually yes, that's actually what's going to happen, so I suggest they stop with the pointless comments, and take their ban. Before things get out of hand. Why not can be easily explained by the rules: Well im not even part of The Avengers i just think they are being treated to harsh because Joe has grudges. And Jihad is offensive to some people as i stated before. Good night Ladies im off to the pub. Group Banned - r3vange - 04-20-2011 [color=#FFFFFF]Actually Joe lock this thread before some more reportable material is produced Group Banned - Vito - 04-20-2011 Didn't this got too far already? As a member of this community I am not really offended by those names (and their translations) but by the fact that these guys (Avengers) think we are all retarded 5 year old kids who have no idea which way is right. You dudes messed up? Grow some balls and admit it, stop thinking you can trick us all in believing those names are just some sad coincidences. I'm sure something like 'ok admins, we tried to have some lulz and we got caught, we're sorry' would have resulted in a temporary ban or maybe just a free rename for your ships. As for Joe, I think he is being too easy on you. He already explained the reasons for this mass ban several times, yet you keep singing the same old song. Seeing that I, as a simple member, feel insulted by your attitude I can only imagine how hard it is for him to keep his thing together instead of perma-banning you from the forums too Group Banned - Exsiled_one - 04-20-2011 cookies. |
