Back in the day, Viktor was the original oppressed Zoner. To be serious, I do not see that many people lining up to take the spot of Kruger Minerals and ALG Waste Disposal. So, in summation this comes to mind: ' Wrote:In vanilia it was hinted that the two groups would merge in order to present a united front that could take down their larger Rhienland rivals. Plus there were financial worries, so the merge would have made perfect sense. Of course, Discovery refuses to touch or develop corporate story lines, because they aren't awesome enough to satisfy the rule of cool, apparently. But, to be honest, flying under two ID's does not seem like that much of a problem from my standpoint, in this particular case. Also, I think some Rheinland unlawful faction does something like this? Also, I think some Rheinland unlawful faction does something like this? Rheinlands Arbeitergewerkschaft. But they have tags, AGS-U| and AGS-L|, which match the IDs. I guess the only problem here is Kruger trying to sneak into Liberty while posing as ALG. Edit: What about the indies who are ALG and don't want to be Kruger, or vice versa? Quote:Simply add the Kruger ID mining bonuses to ALG's ID and then all [RWM] ships can move to the ALG ID.I think mining bonuses are limited by IDs for a reason. As leader of Kruger| I have this to say: This is a pretty good outline of what concerns me about this ID question. Just Bloody Lock it - dodike - 06-24-2011 This is interesting since Kruger is to be shot on sight in Sigmas while ALG operates and has a base there. Other Kruger members Please correct me If I am wrong but offical Kruger Faction ships havent been running silver To Tokyo for a while but Cobalt to Munich. Sure Indy Kruger ships still do silver to New Tokyo but that isnt the Faction ships. Same goes for Copper to Texas This is not a way to allow us to move silver and copper and avoid having the Kruger tags ships going thru Sigma 13 or to Liberty. Lets be honest it isnt hard to Tag up an ALG ship or Republican ship if we wanted to transport to there, much easier than going through this process if that was our aim Just Bloody Lock it - Daedric - 06-24-2011 As it stands now, the two factions haven't done the leg work to warrant what they are demanding. I'm all for developing vanilla plot lines, but it needs to be done properly and in conjunction with the development team. Working off the vanilla rumors of a Kruger and ALG merger to form a single faction would be great development. However, there are many things to consider when merging these two factions. As pointed out by a handful of people, they do not have the exact same diplomacy. If the official Kruger and ALG factions want this merger to happen and be supported by the development/admin teams, you need to work out that diplomacy in role play. Get it as similar as possible. All Kruger and ALG stations would need updated info cards and have their reps changed to the new faction. Don't half arse it by making them all ALG or all Kruger. That said, if this development is player driven, it is up to the members of these factions to help the development team in regards to updating info cards, etc etc. I honestly don't think this plot is a bad one, it is just being done horribly wrong by the player factions involved. You don't demand anything here. The community doesn't adapt to the player, the player adapts to the community. The proper course would be to get in contact with the development team and begin working on the stuff the development team would need to make this happen AND also begin the in game/forum role play aspects of it. Not demanding your own ID and such. Legwork comes first, not the reward. I'm just saying that making diplomacy for the merged company might be complicated. Just Bloody Lock it - .:Mongoose:. - 06-24-2011 ' Wrote:I've never said that you are trying to find a loophole. Fair point, I misinterpreted your post Just Bloody Lock it - Elven - 06-24-2011 ' Wrote:Factions representing NPC faction should not strive for special ID.Rheinland Waste and Minerals is based on existing corporations with vanilla lore. If there're the same corporations, but in undeveloped state, then there's no point for this faction. ' Wrote:Yep, because there has been no developments in the Kusari corporate storyline.Actually Igiss Kusari storyline shows some development for Kusari corporations (Kishiro-backed Emperor?). But still, the problem stands: there's no progress for corporations in general. Corporate leaders shouldn't troll each other, they should unite and tell admins it's wrong. -- I also agree it's quite unbalanced. -- The way I want to see it: ALG controls 50-53 percents of shares within Kruger and has certain amount of representatives in Executive Board of Kruger Minerals, thus controlling their decisions. ALG forms alliance with Kruger Minerals, refining their ore and providing with various services. ALG also lends a hand with money to Kruger Minerals to help to develop Kruger. ALG also offers to accept policies of GSI (something Steine Initiative, basically mini-Kruger+ALG test which was invented looong ago, in times of Ventana). Kruger, seeing his miners being harrased by revolutionarees, accepts those policies with more funding from ALG to cover costs for some period of time. Kruger receives better reputation and can now stand against Daumman and competite against Daumann-Republican corporate block. P Also I find this possible, Kruger and IMG relations will cool off, as result of war against Daumman at the first place, and common friends (ALG, and later, possibly, Gateway). So while basically ALG stays ALG, Kruger stays Kruger, we get certain progress in development of corporations. I also want to see goverment contracts renewal, but I don't think goverments will be interested with original and creative ideas. The problem is, it's space shooter, not really completely RP machine. Therefore, devs don't really care about RP of "minor" (not involved into pvp) factions that much... Well, that's what I think, I may be wrong, since I haven't been dev myself. |
