EA Adopts "Can't Sue Us." Terms of Service - Vladimir - 09-26-2011 I honestly don't remember the last time EA did something good, so why bother? People who buy their games should suffer, it's only natural and fair. EA Adopts "Can't Sue Us." Terms of Service - Fletcher - 09-26-2011 Just cleared out my PC Library of all EA games, it included:

We can set our own laws, but can't mess with taxes. Lol, you chaps are not even semi-autonomous, bow down to your EU masters! They can overrule any law, court decision and government policy they so choose. EA Adopts "Can't Sue Us." Terms of Service - Pinko - 09-26-2011 ' Wrote:Not really, no. Someone cannot tell you that you cannot sue them especially if you have done something to them. The fact that you must click before you play in my view would be the same as coercion/duress. They are forcing you to agree with them if you want to use their product. Meaning it would not hold water. If you provide a service or product and it causes damage, injures you, or something else a company can tell you all day long until they are blue in the face you cannot sue but it would never hold up in court as long as your suit has merit. They only thing that would make something like this valid is if a law is passed that would limit consumers in the type of lawsuit or the amount of damages awarded, but never would it keep people from suing. Q_Q -On-topic- I'll be sending a letter even if i'm in the 'Exempt country'. There ought to be a law against stuff like this. And not just an ethical one. EA Adopts "Can't Sue Us." Watch the bubble, it grows andw will someday explode. EA Adopts "Can't Sue Us." Terms of Service - r3vange - 09-27-2011
EA Adopts "Can't Sue Us." Terms of Service - Switchback - 10-02-2011 Talked with my aunt on the matter, who is a Judge in New York.... Bottom line being, a EULA wont hold up in court. Whenever someone signs something in a hospital, there is a "can't sue us" thing, yet people still sue the hospital for whatever reason. so NP. EA Adopts "Can't Sue Us." Technically, they can't hold a minor to a contract, as far as I remember. |
