While I do appreciate the UoG being around, I think that it would be best if we kept this from becoming a slugfest, Joe012.
I would hate to see a perfectly fine RP even turn into a giant PvP mess...

Well, no offense, as I am a supporter of good RP anywhere, but dont you think the Mollies (RP wise) would have something to say about a race being held in the system they call home? I am sure the Molly NPC's will be attacking any of your racers, and most certainly your police.....so why wouldnt the UOG? :nono:
Im not trying to sound like a jerk or anything here, but I feel that I present a very valid point. We havent even been approached about this matter, not to my knowledge. Therefore I am forced to take a hostile stance. And even if we where approached, the UOG is in an open state of war with the lawful bretonian factions. :rtfm:
I think that sponsoring a race here by the BPA would be VERY OORP. I will however entertain the idea, as I dont want to ruin anyone's "fun".
Now, I hear there is a fine race way near new york. I hate to steer people back to NY, but we have to think of the RP values.
NOW. If a CIVILIAN organization, not a police or military one, wanted to hold a race, that would be totally different than a BPA race. The UOG would be willing to consider the possibilities.

Takes me about ten minutes.
It's a decent route. Not as good as the Diamond Run or the London/O49 route though.

Yes, I do understand, and I am not saying that you cannot attack us. It's just that it would need to be coordinated attacks, not a random attack that will escalate into a shootout.
On the other hand, Dublin is still part of Bretonia, while Connecticut is quite oorp too. Think about getting there? BPA flying through NY? Not a good idea.
I assure you, that if this were to happen, maximum amounts of security will be used. It will not happen until the QCRF and BPA can show up in full force.

But it would be oorp for the BPA/Racers to go there, since we need to travel through Liberty. Dublin, on the other hand, is part of Bretonia. I don't see how it is oorp for us to utilize a dangerous area in our nation for an event...

Well, as I have said, the ulitmate goal is to draw attention away from New York and get people to start utilizing the rest of Sirius. We will discuss this in more detail when the time comes.

Just pointing out, wars were often suspended in Ancient times for the Olympics..

In Olympic times, the world was much smaller. I don't think it would work now.
