Airsoft - Chev - 11-25-2011 ' Wrote:Are those really as plastic as they look? Some parts of them. I personally hate M-16s. Almost all of their non-body parts are plastic. The magazines of AKs are the plastic too. The only plastic parts of SVD and MP5 are grips. SVD's butt is plastic too... so... yeah. Airsoft - Supply and Demand - 11-26-2011 As plastic's go some are very poor quality plastic that softens and gets warped after so many uses. But If you wanna argue best bang for buck I'll give you a comparison. Plastic M4-A1 = 150 USD Full Metal M4-A1 = 169 USD What is better with Full Metal is that the gear box will have a higher stress resistance than a plastic gear box. You could essentially buy metal gear box with a plastic frame and should the plastic break all you need to buy is the frame part and not the entire rifle itself. Also cosmetic modding would be simpler. Snipers hm well I am making my own rifle with customize bb's. Hoping to get 390 feet out of it. I know I know...that would require a lot of force and impossible accuracy rating but you have to try someday. Airsoft - Salt - 12-02-2011 I now have a Well L96 (heavily upgraded) And a M1911 full metal. I think it's a Bell. It's real nice. But If you wanna argue best bang for buck I'll give you a comparison. Your price comparison between the Full Metal M4 and Plastic M4 is subjective. A "Full Metal" M4(one with a metal body and most metal parts) will run you about 200-500 USD(depends on features, manufacturer and where you buy it). a Plastic Body m4 will run you about 130-175 USD, again depending on what you buy. Most Airsoft guns over 120 are going to have metal gearboxes(maybe not some of the Chinese Clones). ' Wrote:I now have a Well L96 (heavily upgraded)Good luck, best of luck sniping! Anyway, can't wait for tommorow, Battle of the Bulge re-enactment type airsoft Operation. Not sure if this pic is oversized height wise, so its Linked. Airsoft - stardust47 - 12-27-2011 Sorry to gravedig this, but while I was in town earlier I managed to get a BlackViper M92 Spring Pistol kit, with a KWC Beretta 92, tub of BBs and a target thingy. Actually looks pretty cool and from what I've heard, KWC pistols are really good quality so I guess I'll be having fun with it. |
