It means that the priority of the IMG is not going to be looking cool or having the most combat-capable ships around. It'll be profits in its mining endeavours. I'm sure the new IMG has been designed to take these facts into account. In fact it has, because the modeller of the ships has posted here saying that.

Actually Nyx is a really fine ship, but it looks like a sport car...IT'S FO' DA RICH BOYS. The new IMG ships are much more like a Toyota Hilux in space: tough, reliable, easy to repair anywhere any time.
