TV series I'm watching currently;
Star Trek: Next Generation (double episodes)
Star Trek: Voyager (double episodes)
Star Gate: Universe (only just started, double episodes)
James Mays Man Lab .... sort of. It gets a bit too silly sometimes.
MythBusters. Because it's science made fun!
Monster Garage. Just for the occasionally very awesome vehicles they turn out.
The ZOO. Cool show about a Zoo in New Zealand and what they get up to from day to day.
Other than those, the news and the occasional movie, I don't watch a lot of tv.

I've only seen one person recommend this so far:
DEXTER! (Okay, this last season was sort of lame, but ... Dexter is such a cool guy.)

I thought that The Walking Dead had a great premise - and it just didn't deliver as a series.

Person of Interest is pretty awesome as well. Just, watch the pilot because it will explain things way better than I can.
