Joined Council last September, when I joined DiscoGC as well. Some (Gallic lawfuls) may consider them terrorists, but I voted military as the Council being a paramilitary organization. However I've found the trading aspect of the game in this faction too.

Back in late 08 I happened to make an indy Samura trader to promote more corporate traders, mostly because as an indy blood dragon player I felt we were lacking our main opponent. It turned out that about the same time the Samura|- faction was starting to form and try to go for officialdom, so I joined in. Never regretted that move.
Though it is a little bit ironic when a faction leader made his first steps on the server as arch-enemy of said faction.

When I first joined discovery I was looking for a faction that only consists of douchebags who want to ruin other people's fun and gloat around with their uber 1337 skills (it's what I do in every game).
But since I haven't found them I went with the XTF and the Black Sails.

I still have my first char/ship. My first char was BHG ID. I got to level 30 by grinding more missions then I was able to count. At this time I had many messages wishing me luck in a less then sincere way. When I reached the level where I could start hunting players I began on the forums. Despite back then that BHG contracts weren't required on the forums I wasn't keen on generally shooting any unlawful so I specifically looked on the forums where there were people asking for others to shot down despite it not being required yet but still wanted to hire an agent of their vengeance. Athenian noted this and PMd me saying he is planning on putting a BHG group to compete against DW (whom at this time I've seen in action and didn't want any part of) and also wanted to end the freeform bounty hunting in which BHG ID was just looking for red is dead and no payment structure was occuring. He invited me in to his group which had just begun now with Athenian, Bobafett and myself and we called ourselves S/D. Athenian worked hard from there and Liberty and Bretonnia were the first to being providing S/D with payable contracts done through submitting on the forums. Later on as then group grew, Rheinland jumped on board with forum contracts for our group. Soon after gaining the 3 Vanilla houses BHG work for we set ourselves to usurp DW's place and take their guard system. We did by November of that year and from there grew to amalgamate the Core into our faction and provide them official status (I was admittedly very opposed to this amalgamation) and renamed the whole faction to a generic BHG| tag. After that I've been too busy with GMG| stuff.
