Fighters of all sorts, especially Light Fighters. I like being able to zip through asteroid fields when I'm chased. Especially when that asteroid field also has a minefield. :laugh:
That said, I intend to have two bombers, one battleship (a long, long time from now, and likely to get very little actual use), and one gunship (when 4.85 is ready). But for the most part, I'm a fighter person.
Voted VHF, since my main combat character is in an Eagle; my Hacker tries to avoid combat. That said, I've been meaning to try an experiment with an Arrow, nuclear mines, Paralyzer missiles, and a slow target...

The largest majority of my ships are, you guessed it, Sabres. I have 4 of them. Have a Wrath, Manta, Eagle, and Raven's Talon. I'm a VHF guy at heart, but can in a pinch fly a LF: I have a Liberator, Slip Stream, and Scimitar. Only caps I got are the Rusty Donut, Giustizia, and two gunboats. Got 2 bombers, a BD and Havoc.

The 'official' classes of capship are: Gunboat, Cruiser, Battleship.
Destroyers use cruiser armor/shielding, but are generally smaller, more manuverable, and have less firepower (i.e. less turrets).
Battlecruisers are inbetween cruisers and battleships. They've got cruiser level armor and shielding, and more manuverability than battleships, but they can use a mix of battleship and cruiser weaponry.
Carriers are considered battleships but often have fewer turrets and are larger.
