Could give the standard Borderworld line texture a whirl. Don't worry too much about hardpoints; to the best of my knowledge, AD and Blodo would be doing them anyway, seeing as they pertain directly to balance.
Given the model itself, it looks like there's plenty of room for equipment. Good stuff. I'm hoping this model will retain the ability to use a MR.
(A small, selfish part of me also wants to see a Bret texture on it, but I imagine that'd look... hideous.)

Model is perfect improvment. I would not mind it getting in this shape however I have some suggestion.
This looks like with few tweaks could represent multi-purpose both atmospheric and space-borne shuttle, SHF AND dropship. Personnaly would extend rear middle part and add some deco below as ship being capable of quickly deploying cargo or troops (ramp? hangar doors?).

Omicron, I see this ship as explorer`s working horse...Armed, armored, thick, bulk...Able to ramm its way through dense asteroid fields, concentrated gas pockets, violent radiation...
Obviously it would work in atmosphere as well. But as for military shuttle...well just no.

Explorer, scientist, civilian or military - it could serve all purposes.
