Liberty Merchant Marine Naval Logistics Support Fleet Captain Robert Graham DEPARTMENT RECEIVING: LIBERTY NAVY PATROL ARCHIVE
The LSS-Watauga reports sighting an Osiris Class Battleship docked with Sabah Shipyard in vicinity of Planet Yuma.
The LSS-Watauga was in the Coronado system on 05MAR836 to pick up a load of copper requested by Naval Logistics for Chesapeake Research Station. While normally we would utilize DSE stations within the system for the shipment, the Watauga diverted to Planet Yuma to purchase bulk cargo instead to avoid possible pirate activity. While mooring at Yuma, the sensor officer noted an unusual energy signature coming from Sabah Shipyard. Scans on the trip into Yuma suggested an Osiris Class Battleship. The Watauga picked up copper as normal, however was able to get a more detailed scan on the way out. This second scan confirmed the ship to be an Osiris; docked with the Colonial Republic's Sabah Shipyard. The ship appears heavily damaged. We were unable to get closer than standard shipping lane distance without arousing suspicion. Watauga then departed the area. Liberty Navy First Fleet Lieutenant Commander Daniel White Galileo Incident Report: - 04/03/836 A.S
Reporting in on an interesting incident in Galileo yesterday. I've already briefly discussed this with the Fleet Admiral who was in attendance at the time, however I've agreed to document the resulting situation for intelligence purposes. I was initially requested to respond to a possible missing Ensign, Whitaker within the Galileo system. Word was when I received the call that it was urgent, though on my arrival to the scene of the last known contact it was discovered the Ensign was face to face with a Xeno pilot under the name of Massasuaga. In most cases I was expecting an attack, or some exchange of gunfire. However it would appear the Xeno was having an interesting discussion with the Ensign. I have attached the black box recording for that segment of my flight as I believe it may prove valuable. My conversation with the Xeno suggested they were in fact quite keen for Liberty to strike first, in a pre-emptive sense. I re-iterated our ROE and that we were in fact not interested in escalating this conflict beyond what it is, but I did state plainly we would defend the borders of the Republic should she come under attack. Typically I would simply have moved to engage the Xeno, although I felt that the risk to the relatively inexperienced Ensign would have put both them and myself at unnecessary risk considering our location within Galileo. I was unsure if the contact potentially had reinforcements nearby and with the Waimea unable to proceed beyond the border line for diplomatic reasons. I opted for a more diplomatic approach in this case. What also became a key point of note as my recordings will highlight, the Xeno appeared to mention that Kusari Naval Forces, namely two fighter craft, attempted to steer our pilot towards their territory. The Ensign will need to report in themselves regarding this as I was not present for the interaction. I will continue to conduct patrols in this area and monitor for now. I would advise all friendly assets in the area to be vigilant going forward. I wouldn't be one to take a Xeno at their word, although being extra cautious around either party certainly would not hurt the cause. With all that said, Whitaker and I returned safely to the Waimea after this encounter. Daniel White, Signing off. RE: Liberty Forces Message dump - Pandesal.Shipping - 03-06-2026 Ship name : Sunbucks-2 Subject: LSF-DEA Patrol Report Target ID: None Location: Alaska Non LSF/Ageira ship flew into Alaska during my patrol. I admit, I was a little lax given it was empty at the time. I gave chase as the ship jumped into Earhart. I miscalculated my jump and smacked into some debris when I arrived and it took out my IFF reader for the duration of the flight. I caught up with the ship but was not able to identify them. They were in a Liberty Bomber. I assumed they were police because of the markings at the side, but I could be mistaken. Shots fired first from their side and I followed suit. An Intense battle followed and it was clear that he knew what he was doing. My ship was heavier and couldn't turn well and struggled in that debris field. I was forced to abandon the fight due to my IFF malfunctioning, and due to my ship not being up to par with his and also, I almost died there. Plus interference, lucky bastard. Whoever he was, we could use more pilots like him. I ended up jumping out of Earhart into Omega-11 where I was attacked by the locals. Managed to limp the ship into Stuttgart and dock on Freiburg Station. Got repaired, and made my way back to Liberty space. If I see that pilot again, I owe the bastard a drink. RECIPIENT ID: Liberty Navy Reporting Center SUBJECT: Incident Report 08.03.836 - Galileo 08 MAR 836 Captain Shrader, Task Force 107, reporting in.
I was participating in routine border control operations in the Colorado system, when at 1513 SMT I received a distress call from the DSE mining vessel Redsnow, which had previously reported a sighting of a Kusari Naval Forces vessel during mining operations in Galileo. I made the transit to Galileo and headed to the Redsnow's last known position in sector G-6, within the Livia Cloud. There I found the Redsnow engaged in combat with the Kusari battlecruiser IKN Haruna. Attempts to have the Kusari vessel cease fire were unsuccessful. Its captain claimed the Redsnow to be interfering with Kusari operations. Indeed, I spotted what appeared to be a derelict exploration vessel nearby, its emergency transponder reading Kusari Office of Intelligence. I believe the Redsnow may have stumbled upon a covert retrieval operation, resulting in the Kusarians attempting to destroy the vessel and silence any witnesses. The Redsnow's continued return fire and my arrival forced the IKN Haruna to scuttle the derelict KOI vessel and retreat. It did so by - and this is according to my flight computer's analysis - "opening a hyperspace breach." I was unable to obtain visuals of this due to the Livia Cloud's low visibility and my priority being the security of the Redsnow. After the Kusari warship's retreat, the Redsnow returned safely to Colorado. The Kusari Naval Forces and Kusari Office of Intelligence appear to be conducting covert military operations in Galileo within close proximity of the Colorado jump gate. At least one of their warships appears to be equipped with one of their purported jump drives. And they are not above opening fire on Libertonian citizens with the intent to kill in order to cover up their operations. Guncam footage and communication logs are attached below. Cpt. Liberty Navy, First Fleet LIBERTY NAVY PATROL REPORT Ensign Donbastio Whitaker DEPARTMENT RECEIVING: LIBERTY NAVY PATROL ARCHIVE
Pilot: [LN]-D.Whitaker Location: Colorado / Galileo Systems Start Point: Colorado System Objective: Routine Patrol and Border Security Date: 05 March 36 Patrol Start I began my patrol flight departing the Colorado system, heading toward the Galileo system. Upon arrival in Galileo, I observed two pilots near a Freeport installation: Planetform pilot: Jonathan.Gordon.Lewis Zoner pilot: ZDF-K.Tomoe I questioned the Zoner pilot regarding his presence in the system. He stated he was the owner of the Freeport station in Galileo and several other Zoner installations, including Bethlehem Station in Pennsylvania. No illegal activity was observed at the time. The Planetform pilot docked at the Freeport shortly afterward, preventing further questioning about his activities in the system. Xenos Attack on Traders At the end of the first trade lane, I responded to a distress situation involving Universal Shipping traders under attack by a pack of Xenos fighters. With the assistance of the traders’ escorts, we successfully eliminated the hostile threat and secured the lane. Border Checkpoint Coordination Shortly after the encounter, I received communications from two Liberty Navy vessels establishing a checkpoint on the Colorado side of the border. Participating vessels: [LN]-LNS-Cowpens [LN]-LNS-New.Jersey One of the vessels offered fighter escort support during my continued patrol operations in Galileo. Encounter with Kusari Forces Continuing my patrol alone in Galileo, I encountered the following vessels: [KNF]'Onamazu – Kusari Navy Forces [KNF]Sk.Toshiyuki – Kusari Navy Forces An unidentified Hogosha vessel (callsign lost due to scanner interference) The Hogosha pilot departed shortly after detecting my presence on scanners. The KNF pilots attempted to initiate casual conversation regarding unlawful activity in the system. Due to my patrol duties, I largely ignored the attempts and continued my route along the trade lanes. During this patrol, I also encountered: Two unidentified Freelancer vessels (unable to scan due to interference; cargo suspected to be rice bound for Liberty) B|-BCV-Gryphon_Mining – Bristol Mining vessel I advised the mining pilot to report any unlawful activity immediately to the Liberty Navy and to contact us if assistance was required. The KNF pilots continued to interject into the conversation with various remarks but remained non-aggressive. Situation Escalation I updated Liberty Navy border control via comms regarding the KNF presence. At that time the situation remained under control. Shortly afterward, I was informed that Xenos fighters were heading in my patrol direction, likely attracted by the presence of multiple patrols in the area. A Xenos pilot identified as: XA-'Massasauga' appeared on scanners and joined the ongoing communications. The Xenos pilot appeared to attempt to verbally support my position against the Kusari pilots, though no direct hostilities occurred. During the discussion I later realized that the KNF vessels had gradually maneuvered me closer toward the Shikoku jumpgate. The KNF pilots suggested I enter Shikoku space so they could “protect” me from the Xenos presence. I declined this proposal. Liberty Navy Reinforcements Before the situation escalated further, I disengaged and moved toward the Liberty Navy border checkpoint, where the following vessels had entered Galileo and established a defensive position near the jumpgate: [LN]-LNS-Wisconsin [LN]-LNS-New.Jersey DEA|>Innocentia While I was briefing them on the situation, we received another report from: A/)-Revenant – Technocracy of Auxo pilot He informed us that two Xenos vessels were again disrupting traders in the system. Second Xenos Encounter I resumed patrol operations to locate the Xenos, escorted by the Auxo pilot. However, no contacts were immediately located. I checked the Shikoku jumpgate, but the Xenos and KNF vessels had already disappeared from scanners. As I prepared to enter the trade lane toward Liberty space, the Xenos reappeared from the Shikoku jumpgate. The same pilot as before stopped my vessel and attempted to relay information which I could neither confirm nor deny. Another Xenos vessel joined him, holding me in position for a short time. Final Reinforcement and Disengagement Liberty Navy pilot: [LN]-Daniel.White arrived as reinforcement. After a short exchange with the Xenos pilots, the situation de-escalated and both sides disengaged without combat. We returned toward the Colorado system and passed the still-active border checkpoint. I separated from [LN]-Daniel.White and proceeded to Denver to file this report. Liberty Navy, First Fleet First Fleet Admiralty Admiral Mayling Shen Miasma Shakedown Report, Galileo Engagement
Good Evening, During preparations for the Miasma's post-transfer shakedown cruise, we received information of a confusion situation in Colorado en-route to the Galileo Jumpgate. Anticipating little difficulty, the Miasma slipped its mooring at Norfolk and joined the onsite vessels, Battleship Wisconsin, Gunboat Gemini and the 46th's Battlecruiser Akhetaten. The scene we arrived to was the very confused crew of a Gallic battleship, carrying a load full of cigars and transmitting a Deep Space Engineering IFF. Thanks to the Akhetaten's diplomatic skills, the situation was dealt with. Shortly after the resolution of this situation, we received notification from forward observers regarding a buildup of Blood Dragon forces in Galileo. Weighing risks with the danger of their presence, we mobilized to the area as it was within Liberty's designated zone. Upon arrival, we were met with a scouting squadron of Blood Dragon ships and engaged them, only to be ambushed by a squadron of strike bombers and a formation of cruisers. The confrontation continued to escalate to include a full cruiser flotilla, several strike wings and a small set of heavy gun warships. During these series of engagements, Bristol combat vessels arrived to provide assistance and later a Kusari Naval Forces vessel arrived to assist. The combined forces stood victorious over the Blood Dragon vessels with minimal damage incurred. Of the most notable support vessels, however, was the Bristol combat vessel Endeavor, identified as a former Insurgent cruiser-class warship. While this vessel did engage in combat to assist Navy warships and remained present through to the withdraw of the Miasma and demonstrated no hostile behavior, it's origins are curious at best as to our knowledge most known ships were struck down during the final campaign of the Insurgency. Attached will be the scan data of the Endeavor, as it was all we could manage during the confrontation. Liberty Navy, First Fleet LIBERTY NAVY PATROL REPORT Cadet Claire Valenzuela First patrol
Good day, I went on my first patrol and left Norfolk Shipyard earlier today. The route was from Norfolk to Planet Manhattan, to WestPoint and back to Norfolk in a loop to test out my ship and see what I can find. I went off the path I set and went to check out the Pennsylvania Jump Gate in the badlands for a quick peek and went back to WestPoint. There I found a Liberty Police with the callsign Aurelius_BH flying a Sunburst freighter. I asked them to submit to a scan but they immediately jumped into the trade lane headed for the California system. They didn't give me anytime to talk and I gave chase as they have been completely silent the entire time. I ran a scan and saw that they are carrying a full 600 load of Daumann Sidearms (scan included in the report). The pilot did not comply with the command to cut their engines and did their best to try to shake me off. He was determined not to talk nor explain his situation regarding the sidearms in his cargo hold. After cutting the lane as we arrived in system and calling his cargo contraband, he attempted to escape again, and what followed was me discharging my weapons at him and he fought back. His sunburst folded and exploded after that. Took some of the cargo with me to be disposed of at Norfolk when I get back, and blast the rest that is floating in space. End of Report. *She sighs while finishing this report* I have feelings about that first patrol and kill. I went ahead and read through the Liberty laws again and found out that those weren't restricted by any means! Then why didn't that pilot just tell me? I just...I just thought I did something worthwhile. Shit. Alvarez, D. RECIPIENT ID: Liberty Navy Reporting Center SUBJECT: Incident Report 18.03.836 - Colorado/Galileo 19 MAR 836 Alvarez, skipper of the LNS Fort Wayne, Defiant-class, making my report of a border violation incident by Kusari forces. At approximately 18:50 SMT, while reinforcing border control stop-and-search efforts at the Colorado-Galileo gate connection, the Fort Wayne's deep scanner array picked up faint transponder signals at maximum effective range. These signals were consistent with those IFF codes utilized by Kusari armed forces. I sent word of this contact up the wire immediately, to requisition snubcraft support. Notably, there was no word over the Battlegroup net that raised flags of any full invasion force. With that in mind, I set my ship to search-and-destroy as our most pressing concern, given probable illegal incursion by a Kusari reconnaissance unit. As the Alamosa provided the nearest exploitable terrain for any clandestine recon force, Fort Wayne moved off from the border checkpoint to begin a sector-by-sector sweep of the asteroid field. After about five minutes, at roughly 18:55 SMT, our scanners picked up the same contact, still flashing Kusari idents, at roughly the same distance away as the jump hole to Galileo, located in Sector Delta-3. The abrupt vanishing of this contact from our scanner implied retreat through the jump hole, so Fort Wayne approached and entered a holding pattern nearby. Rather than pursue an unidentified contact beyond the system, I chose to brief our bomber cover Greyhound-1, flown by Captain Sasha Lasky also of the 107. While getting her up to speed, the contact suddenly reemerged after a clean jump tunnel traversal, and my tactical officer acquired full target lock. It was the IKN Kuzunoha, Ashikaga-class gunboat, transmitting overt KOI transponder codes. In line with policy announced by Secretary Worthington, we responded to this incursion into Colorado as a clear and willful hostile act. The surrender of the Kuzunoha was demanded immediately, at which point its captain elected to flee to Galileo. We pursued, and interdicted their attempt to flee via cruise disruption within the Reppu dark matter cloud. After refusing our demand to surrender in colorfully explicit terms, the Kuzunoha opened fire on Greyhound-1, prompting us to engage the gunboat. After a short battle, the Kuzunoha was critically disabled at about 19:07 SMT. Captain Lasky then gave the order to return to the Ohio's formation ASAP to relay our report. All relevant data captured will be appended below. Several ramshackle Rogue gunships attempted to prey on both sides during this engagement, but were swiftly rendered no-factor. A brief personal assessment: I do not grasp why the captain of the Kuzunoha chose to return through the jump hole to Colorado, when they must've been aware we were alerted to their presence. Regardless, it is my judgement that the vessel was engaging in armed reconnaissance of our Colorado force distribution. For them to do so, even following the press release from the Liberty government, does not bode well. My ship'll be in the repair dock for a long while, following severe damage inflicted by pirate forces in Colorado that same day. This concludes my report. Semper fortis. Cadet Valenzuela reporting in, Went on patrol with Matthew Austin today. He is showing me the ropes on how to properly do a traffic stop and scan. We undocked from Norfolk and ran into a Freelancer going by the name of Faley Jones, in command of a Border Worlds hauler. We followed it all the way to the Colorado Jump gate when he was not stopping. Austin asked me to do a scan of the ship and cargo properly. Attached is the scan of the ship. Ship was carrying a full load of fertilizers to Avon, a station I assume, to Galileo. After I mentioned the cargo was clear, Austin made sure that I scanned everything, from the equipment, to the cargo, to even the ammunitions. It was a good way to practice since it was a calm patrol and I am taking his words to heart. We moved on to Planet Manhattan as the next waypoint in our patrol when our scanners lit up. What we saw was an Outcast vessel, a Hasta-class Battlecruiser aptly named MNS-Armageddon. It was huge, first time seeing something like that compared to the capital vessels we have here. Me and Austin couldn't do much since we were both in Defender VHF's, but as luck would have it, the Liberty Battlecruiser Columbia and the Liberty Dreadnought Tumwater made an appearance. This was all behind Planet Manhattan. The Tumwater and Armageddon duked it out while me and Austin secured the perimeter to make sure nothing interfered while the Columbia is holding position ready to jump in at a moments notice. As for me and Austin, he asked if I had a Upholder bomber ready and I responded with yes. We made our way from the area back to Norfolk to pick up our bombers to assist the Tumwater. My Upholder was still under maintenance in Norfolk but had to be prepared quickly. After loading up the bomber with Nova's, I set out back to New York in a rush to support the Tumwater with Austin's help. We rendezvous at West Point and rushed towards the battle when we got a notification from Columbia that Tumwater just got blown out of the sky. That gave us the push we needed to avenge our lost ship. While we were engaging the Battlecruiser, several Rogue ships showed up to assist the Outcast. One Scylla and a Very Heavy Fighter. Names will be included on this report. List of ships we encountered:
Note: Scans were provided by Matthew Austin as he was teaching me the ropes. Hopefully this will teach me how to do it on my own when the time comes. After the battle, my ship was almost totaled and I suffered some injuries. Frankly, I almost died, I panicked. But thankfully Austin and Daniel White was there to keep me grounded and not to panic. We escorted the Columbia to Norfolk and that's when I docked to get patched up and my ship repaired. White's words were true...."That was a bit of trial by fire for you.".
