LIBERTY NAVY PATROL REPORT

Cadet Claire Valenzuela

First patrol

Good day,

Writing this report from the med bay in Fort Bush after the shitstorm in New York.

Patrol started when I undocked from West Point. I was there to visit some friends of mine. I got in contact with LNS-Lake.Erie in orbit of Planet Manhattan. They spotted a Lane Hacker ship roughly 13 clicks away from their position. As we were discussing on the next steps on how to proceed, a Zoner Militant showed up, named TFP)-Snake.Bane.

Another friendly ship joined us, this time from the LPI, Jack_B-17. He is a good friend of my brother and agreed to help us while we were headed to the Colorado jumpgate. Jack mentioned there was a party going on there so we checked it out. He was not wrong when we found several ships there.

One Lane Hacker going by the name );--Backdoor, A freelancer named Resplendent.Imago and one very..VERY mouthy LPI named NOT_ConquestYuni. It was a very interesting conversation that I will be including in the blackbox attachment. Even the Lake Erie was confused on what to do. I was only able to finish scanning the Hacker ship when the Militant said he wanted a fight. Scans included below.

That was also the time the Militant wanted a fight so I got the greenlight to engage. It was not long when my cockpit started to crack from the intense fighting and me not having the skills yet to match the Militant pilot. The Lake Erie and Jack jumped in to save me, as embarrassing as it is for me. I got a shard of glass hit my left arm which caused it to bleed but I tried to keep up the fight but I was getting weaker.

More of our ships showed up, [LN]-D.Whitaker and LNS-Deepbite. I was ordered and escorted by both Jack and Lake Erie to Fort Bush to get checked out. I put my ship on autopilot and went in formation. When arriving my ship docked successfully and I was rushed to the med bay and this is where I am writing this.

It's demoralizing seeing my own flying for me to end up here, but with the uplifting words of my comrades, I think I can do this. I want to survive and be better.

End of Report.

After Action Report: - 25/04/836 A.S

Brief summary of events observed today during our station.

We initially received a system wide distress call from Security Force operatives in vicinity of Pueblo station, they had reported a sighting of a Maltese Dreadnought, I ordered my radio operator to respond and we promptly set course to Pueblo station. On arrival we encountered said Maltese dreadnought heading away from us towards the Copperton asteroid field which was exchanging fire with LSS vessels Adir-Two and Oregon-Seven. Warship callsign was Sextus Pompey.

Wisconsin gave chase, closed the distance and opened fire on the heavy battleship. We landed a series of heavy salvos on the fleeing warship before it proceeded into Ontario. At this stage the Navy communication channel was growing louder suggesting activity in Galileo. Reports suggested a civilian protest was ongoing. Due to the distressing communications we received, we decided to abandon pursuit into Ontario and shifted course to Galileo. Status of target unknown, however it was visibly damaged as it entered the Ontario rift.

We also detected a Lane Hacker vessel Misconfig, identified by our signature record as a Lane Hacker gunship. Though this craft soon fled out of our sensor range.

Once arriving at the Galileo jump gate, it was decided to proceed into Galileo itself. The growing chatter suggested the crowd was substantial and growing, as well as becoming increasingly violent. We counted ten plus civilian contacts all in Samura constructed craft posturing and being generally aggressive. Later a freelancer craft was destroyed by a few of the noted protestors.

From then on the situation grew worse, Wisconsin and supporting units were taken under fire by these craft. However our point defence and flak batteries made short work of the incoming ordinance. Our gunfire was directed at supporting allied assets, including units from the forty sixth fleet along with our own Admiral Shen who was piloting a fighter craft on this occasion. Our composition was mixed of first, forty sixth and Security Force vessels.

We did not note any incoming ordinance from Kusari Navy or Intelligence vessels present, they seemed well tasked with dealing with the enraged mob which was indiscriminately attacking all vessels within our radius.

Some allied units were disabled during the fighting, including a first fleet cruiser Thalia Grace. Unfortunately we were not able to repel the attackers from this vessel due to the sheer volume of attacking craft and our point defence guns were focused on preventing incoming torpedoes striking the Wisconsin.

Admiral Shen accompanied the Wisconsin back to Colorado once the protestors dispersed. We suffered no damage during the series of actions we were involved in.

End of report.

Report on Galileo confrontation, civil riot

Good Evening,

Upon answering the call to reinforce the Galileo corridor due to an ongoing confrontation with a large group of agitated Kusari civilian vessels, I took to the area onboard my fighter and surveying the ongoing situation. Upon arrival, there was already little in the way of cohesion amongst the crowd, more or less shouting randomly. Behind the line of protestors was an assembled for of Kusari Naval Forces and Kusari Intelligence vessels. Despite the presence of Navy and Naval Forces units trying to calm the situation, a neutral freighter was caught in the lines between each side and assaulted by Kusari Rioters.

Attempts to de-escalate the situation fell upon deaf ears as LSF vessels opened fire in retaliation for the destruction of the civil freighter. Naval Forces units began to move in as a response, and I, alongside other ranking officers, gave the order to engage. There was no cohesion in the resulting battle as casualties were inflicted upon both sides, the initial LSF assaulting force having fell rather quickly. Combat was sporadic and due to my presence in a fighter I do not have a wider fleet-wide view to report.

The most prominent thing I recall, during my attack on a rioter freighter, seeing a prominent Kusarian figure, Sanae Miyasu, under fire from what looked to be their own civilians and a Xeno ship. Whether I had engaged that vessel personally or not I do not recall, it was an incredibly target rich environment and I was not particularly looking at the vessel name, only the IFF they were flashing. During the ensuing conflict I found myself caught between two hostile fighter and sustaining heavy damage, but a sudden Ion Storm resulting in my shaking my attackers before I was forced to eject.

After regrouping with Navy forces once the Ion Storm cleared, the remaining rioters and Kusarian forces seemed to have retreated from the battle zone. After lingering to ensure continued security, we declared the crisis in the zone to be over and returned to our docks.

It is with the utmost insistence that I say this must be forwarded to the Office of the Secretary of Defense. It is clear Kusari's provocations are going further, and armed conflict is on the horizon.

Situational Update: - 26/04/836 A.S

An addendum to my original report of yesterdays events.

I have been made aware of a breach of Libertonian sovereign territory by a KOI vessel yesterday evening, some hours after the incidents that occurred in Galileo. A civilian vessel reported a sighting of Kusarian gunboat in proximity to Manhattan via our emergency channels. I dispatched gunboat Cheyenne from Wisconsin's escort screen to investigate.

I have received word from first fleet Lieutenant Commander White commanding Cheyenne, that a hostile track which was identified as KOI Gunboat Komori was sighted outside Planet Manhattan. Confirming the alleged report. After an attempt at persuading the vessel to leave was made, the vessel declared its intent to attack and opened fire.

The transcript tends to suggest it was seeking revenge for the fall of the Kusari admiral as well as the attack on the Kusarian prime minister. The vessel reportedly made several attempts to cloak and flee with vital reconnaissance information, the Cheyenne pressed the attack and disabled the vessel in question.

I am also attaching the recovered exterior camera recordings from my vessel Wisconsin which outlined the play by play of the protest in Galileo yesterday. I feel this is necessary to combat the potential allegations we were the initial aggressors in this scenario. Unfortunately the recording ends abruptly due to the ION storm reported by Admiral Shen.

That will be all.

Operational Status Update: - 27/04/836 A.S

White, reporting in regarding the ongoing operation Sartorial.

I volunteered myself for escort detail aboard the Defiant-class gunboat Cheyenne as I have already been standing in aboard this craft while my usual command, cruiser Oakland lays at Norfolk pending her refit.

Cheyenne successfully conducted ten crossings to Portsmouth shipyard escorting an armed merchant convoy from Norfolk consisting of three Longhorn class frigates. Including one of our own, LNS Iwo Jima and TFA LNS Sacramento. I will provide a summary of the key action points within the operation thus far:

We encountered three documented hostiles, including one Lane Hacker also at the helm at a Longhorn class frigate, a Molly Gunboat and an unknown affiliated vessel.

The Hacker was unfortunate enough to get close enough to our own frigates and was resultingly disabled in the exchange. Cheyenne initially sent a volley of gunfire in the direction of the hostile track, however the Task Force Akhetaten frigate answered the threat sufficiently so our assistance was not required.

As for the Molly gunboat, we positioned Cheyenne as bait in the middle of the formation to distract while the convoy made its exit, to which Cheyenne then withdrew without firing a shot amidst the confusion. No shots fired, no damage sustained.

We classified the final contact as a Defiant class, unusually. However its communication was limited and aggressive with a scuffed transponder. Cheyenne prosecuted this target with remarkable efficiency and the convoy was able to get clear without damage. We suffered superficial damage in the exchange, however Cheyenne was able to proceed to Norfolk after under her own power.

We're awaiting a final inspection being carried out from repairs and then I intend to head back out to resume escorting convoys. I have not included any recordings in this particular report.

Esteemed High Command,

With pleasure I report further progress at Operation Sartorial,
sadly due to some stress related error I missed to calculate the total of my delivered goods, yet the dockmasters and our analysts will be able to assure you, that Interior Systems and Lend Lease material have been transported in great numbers to their respected destinations.

Also I had a very unpleasing encounter at the New-York Jumpgate with a Militant Border Worlds Transport.
It has Charons and a Hornet Cruise Disruptor mounted and will ask for almost all your cargo, as much as you can fill this pricks cargo-hold. Yet I can with pleasure report, the vessel has been disabled due to
a second fleet very heavy fighter, coming to assistance just in the right moment, luck has been on my side.

LIBERTY NAVY PATROL REPORT

Lieutenant Donbastio Whitaker

DEPARTMENT RECEIVING: LIBERTY NAVY PATROL ARCHIVE

Pilot: [LN]-D.Whitaker
Vessel ID: [LN]-Valiant
Location: New York
Start Point: Norfolk Shipyard
Objective: Fly Test
Date: 30/04/836

Flight Test
During a scheduled test flight of a Defiant-class gunboat in the New York system, I received a transmission from West Point Station regarding a Junker vessel suspected of transporting contraband within Liberty space.

I disengaged from a prior escort coordination with Navy elements and proceeded immediately to investigate.

Upon arrival, I identified the suspect vessel (designation: The.Darkstar.Monarch) and initiated standard inspection procedures. The vessel’s responses were irregular, highly fragmented, and consistent with automated or degraded communication systems. Cargo scans and verbal confirmation indicated the presence of illegal goods, including Wildcat Gold, Hessian Tears, and Ageira Technologies.

Upon arrival, a Liberty Police Inc. officer (callsign: Stanley Carter) was already present at the scene. His conduct was erratic and increasingly unstable. Instead of assisting in enforcement, the officer actively obstructed lawful Navy operations, attempting to justify the contraband transport for personal motives related to locating an individual referred to as “Silver.”

Repeated lawful orders were issued to the Junker vessel:

Drop contraband
Pay the applicable fine
Submit to escort for interrogation

All orders were ignored.

The LPI officer escalated the situation further by:

Countermanding Navy authority
Encouraging the suspect vessel to flee toward California
Issuing an unlawful arrest against myself
Verbally declaring himself “the law”
Interfering with navigation and compliance

At this stage, the Junker vessel entered a state of conflicting directives, alternating between compliance and defiance under the influence of the LPI officer.

Final warnings were issued. Upon continued refusal to comply, I initiated enforcement procedures and redirected the vessel toward Norfolk Shipyard. Due to docking complications, updated orders rerouted the suspect to Fort Bush for processing.

While en route, the LPI officer escalated to open hostility and engaged my vessel with weapons fire.

I returned fire, disabling the LPI vessel. The pilot was forced to eject, and the escape pod was secured without further incident.

The Junker vessel ultimately complied and docked at Fort Bush, where station authorities assumed custody for further investigation and seizure of contraband.

I returned to Norfolk Shipyard to file in my Report and to finally aquire the Defiant Gunboat Vessel
