Umm k, not sure were you were mining, I mined most of the day in Tx and only made 300 mil unless there was some ridiculously high drop field you found then sure.. fix it, but whatever.. hack away.

EDIT: Is what ever changes you are making made now?

Woohoo! Thanks admins!

Ok, maybe I was being a bit harsh too soon, if all the changes are done to the scrap fields (at least TX), then its fine, I just tested them out and takes allot longer to mine of course, but its reasonable. 5-12 drop on average (Salvager with miner turret) and at most I saw was 18. I can live with that.

Invergordon should become a Junker trade hub.

While I congratulate this change, I wish to suggest to rebalance H-3 mining.
With the old plugin the huge amount of H-3 fields balanced itself. They were always full thus the droppings were always high. But right now, the basic drop is 1.5, which is quite low comparing to other ores. Also the fact that H-3 is sold at Bretonia - the direct opposite of Sirius from the mining location - Sigmas, and the price per H-3 is just 9k.

I meant it in more generalist way, you devs tend to forget things that are broken and exploitable in the mod for too long and this kills the Sirian economy.
From my PoV removing the depletion is good news for some fields like Dublin that were really hard to mine, however some fields could be too good while some too bad after the removal. You should rebalance the whole mining mod altogether with the removal of the depletion.
From my PoV creating only 5 10-12k sale point mining points is more then enough considering the current server activity. After you removed the depletion you should consider reducing the mining spots in order to create activity hubs.

Good to hear you fixed that field, I literally mined 1 billion credits from scrap yesterday...But a rollback is NOT a good idea, after all I did spend 6 hours mining, that's more then most people I know on disco would do before they got bored (Jayce was bored after 20 minutes for example)...So yeah, no rollback please....

A thought on this, maybe make "Local Smelteries" have a moderate buy price for ores?

for example Gold Mining could be like this:

Gold Mining:
Graves/Cardiff/Garvagh/Stokes

Edit: Just thought about it; Smelters buy all ore types maybe?( may require some base Name changes or more studying to see what bases are inrp a smelter I think the ageira station in Colorado is/was a smelter ( judging by the smoke stack things)

Now The Waste Industry is a totaly diffrent story, I do like that Junker bases are buying Scrap, 'cause it really makes sense(to me). Though I do feel that Refineries should be a drop point as well. ( I would much like to see more bases with "Refinery/Smeltery" in their names be used my opinion) My thought would be Make Toxic Waste/Scrap metal's Best sell points be at refineries (South Shields Refinery/Wuppertal Refinery afaik) since Refineries refine

Just my two cents Feel free to nit-pick my idea

Edit:

By Definition:

Refining: remove impurities or unwanted elements from (a substance), typically as part of an industrial process.

Smelt: extract (metal) from its ore by a process involving heating and melting.

So I just think it would make sense.

bye
