i like the idea, but i think i understand why most people dislike it
This is like, a awesome thing, if used correctly, but can be crap if badly used.
I vote Yes for simple reason:
I prefer having no interaction over bad interaction really... and if aq player would go to so much trouble to avoid meeting me, then i know that player wldnt be worth meeting with.
(Because i wanna RP with ppl who also want to RP, and not RP with someone who was forced to)

I vote yes for the extra and easier interaction between indie ships or new players with the factions.

I'm going to start considering deleting personal ships for posts like these.
Anyway this thread has served its purpose. We've discussed this in the dev chat and the answer was pretty much that it wasn't the kind of thing 5 players should decide, so we opened this thread specifically to see what the community think about it. I think threads like these are something we should create more often, but we already do it from time to time as you might have noticed.
Some really good points have been brought forward and it's clear it would cause more problems than anything.
