RE: Kid-Pilots in disco - Backo - 08-14-2015 In Texas System, on planet Houston there's a bounty hunter chick that gives you a rumor. Said rumor says she started bounty hunting when she was 14 and her dad took her with him on his spaceship and let her fly and catch some rogue. So ye, vanilla lore contradicts you. RE: Kid-Pilots in disco - SnakeLancerHaven - 08-14-2015 15 yo Geb Carrier pilot 8| RE: Kid-Pilots in disco - WesternPeregrine - 08-14-2015 (08-14-2015, 10:25 AM)SeaFalcon Wrote: Corsairs probably would find their ships too valuable to put a kid into it... "Omicron Gamma - Malvada Cloud - Corsair fighter wreck infocard Corsair Fighter This ship is part of the Graveyard of the Innocents, where young Corsairs must prove their worthiness or perish in the process. Many of these ships contain Artifacts. " So, in this context, minimum age for Corsair rp is the age where you managed to survive being slaughtered by aliens on a flimsy, rumored elsewhere to be weaponless, ship. RE: Kid-Pilots in disco - Mímir - 08-14-2015 There are no furries in Freelancer, only people with a delusion that they are furries. Also I'm sure a kid might be able to fly a spaceship, given they have the right height and such, but kids lack maturity (duh) and make a lot of wrong dispositions. That's part of life, building experience. That is why it is the 16-21 year olds behind the wheel in so many car accidents - they are by far the biggest group. They make a lot of mistakes due to that lack of maturity and experience, and a solo kid fighter pilot will be prone to do the same and die to their own stupidity. Unsupervised kid pilots is a dumb idea. RE: Kid-Pilots in disco - Doria - 08-14-2015 "Dad took her with him" is not the same as a space-kid pilot flying his own multi-billionaire battleship. And corsairs are a crazy bunch... People that RPs teenager capship admirals should be permabanned. RE: Kid-Pilots in disco - Thyrzul - 08-14-2015 Afaik the Corsair trial is not about surviving noms, but radiation in a poorly shielded/armored fighter and returning with one of those artifacts. RE: Kid-Pilots in disco - Fluffyball - 08-14-2015 (08-14-2015, 11:50 AM)Mímir Wrote: Also I'm sure a kid might be able to fly a spaceship, given they have the right height and such, but kids lack maturity (duh) and make a lot of wrong dispositions. That's part of life, building experience. In the USA, perhaps. Such accidents are made by younger people do not exceed 20% in Poland, as far as I remember. The majority is done by middle-aged people who are late for work. Around 10% in here belongs to older people. Some of the accidents are caused by transporation drivers, who wants to deliver cargo as fast as they could - else fines within corporation. I do agree 15 years old as battleship captain are idiotic, in majority of cases. But as I said, change of enviroment would force people to change their behaviour and stance, as spaceship and atmoships are the most common mean of travel in a such universe. RE: Kid-Pilots in disco - Pacific - 08-14-2015 ![]() Heres a future Kusari char of mine
RE: Kid-Pilots in disco - Fluffyball - 08-14-2015 She obviously must be cultist of Inari Shrine. Top RP. ))) RE: Kid-Pilots in disco - Pacific - 08-14-2015
