RE: Xeno VHF. WIP, Tue - Swallow - 12-27-2016 https://youtu.be/q9sGHU-NGDY - Blending Xeno VHF part 1 but not exactly 1 RE: Xeno VHF. WIP, Tue - Epo - 12-27-2016 Looks cool. Maybe the neck should be a bit shorter, but it's only my feeling. RE: Xeno VHF. WIP, Tue - Traxit - 12-27-2016 I agree that the neck should be shorter. The wings and cockpit shouldn't be so far apart. RE: Xeno VHF. WIP, Tue - Swallow - 12-27-2016 It'll get bulcky again then. RE: Xeno VHF. WIP, Tue - QuinnZai - 12-28-2016 I like that quite a lot but I agree with the others on the length of the ship. Is there no way you could shave off just a few millimeters from the neck without changing the overall design very much? I like the look, I just feel that it seems unnaturally long with the size of its wings. Or possibly make the neck thinner/curved to compensate for its length. RE: Xeno VHF. WIP, Tue - Swallow - 12-28-2016 No. It has tiny "wings" to navigate in fields. They serve no purpose but as a weapon mounts. This was the initial request - to keep it as sleek as possible. Instead I could slightly enlarge to cockpit glass. RE: Xeno VHF. Keep the actual cockpit as it is, just work on the neck. RE: Xeno VHF. WIP, Tue - Swallow - 12-28-2016 The neck is a frame already. It is not a bulk. I suggest to enlarge the cockpit slightly, basically making glass area bigger without changing the shape. RE: Xeno VHF. WIP, Tue - QuinnZai - 12-29-2016 Okay and what about making the ship thinner then? As in cutting a millimeter out from the center of the ship and pasting the two halves together or squeezing the center just a bit tighter together. If the ship has to have a neck of that length, making it a bit thinner would make it look much more sleek. Like I said though, this design looks great. If there truly is no way you could make that center part even a slight bit thinner. Then try the cockpit idea. Maybe it's just because I don't know the size of this VHF in comparison a Raven's Talon that I feel that it needs that adjustment. RE: Xeno VHF. WIP, Tue - Swallow - 12-29-2016 Size can be anything, and the only thing that gives you a feeling of the size is a cockpit or the windows. |
