Rate your own RP - n00bl3t - 12-02-2008 Abstained, I am still learning to RP and I doubt I will ever stop learning to. Rate your own RP - looqas - 12-02-2008 ' Wrote:Kinda wish there was a choice between average & good, maybe a "Trying to be better" as that's where I think I would fit. Me too. And I'm the guy who made the poll. :$ I think if I'm brutally honest I would drop between good and average. My main problem is that sometimes I'm too lazy to come up with something interetesting and RPish to say. I draw a total blank. Main problem, that I have, is that if I'm kinda leading the RP conversation in-game I fail to come up very RPish text. Sometimes I amaze myself being capable of doing good RP. Having interesting stuff out etc. I need time to develop RP so coming out something on the spot can be hard sometimes. I'm just average in initiating and leading the RP session. My forum RP is better than in-game. But on the other hand if I'm sorta just following someone's RP or backing up, I'm pretty good at it. I'd like to pose a new question. How reluctant you are to initiate or go along with someone's RP? Rate your own RP - Rudo - 12-02-2008 My RP is good but not great. My in-game RP I think is top-notch. I'm always happy to go along with someone else's roleplay or to try and lead the action. I've always been of the philosophy that you create the character and adapt him to the world, not try and make the world revolve around your character. That's why with all my characters, they all have short and sweet descriptions. - Bishop is the cyborg Nomad Hunter, who obsessed with the Harvesters because he's an artificial human grown into his mechanical bits rather than one that was born. The Harvesters being machines that require biomass to survive, he feels an odd inhuman bond with them. - Rudo is just your typical cut-throat war profiteer tycoon who will lie to your face and sell you materials to rebuild the ships you lost, your enemies having somehow come into owning a lot of missiles recently. - The captain of the Caveat Emptor is very Rheinlandish, loves order and discipline and hates Nomads. - Fawkes is just your typical hooligan low-class Bretonian. Picture a drunk angry football rioter in a spaceship, and you've got the idea. My forum RP is something to be desired but that's because I'm generally too lazy to write stories. Rate your own RP - Drake - 12-02-2008 My in-game RP is good, I think, when it comes to conversation and whatnot. My story-writing ability is decent at least, though I don't enjoy writing stories much, so I don't. And play-by-post forum RP in the 'x bar' threads and such places bore me somewhat, though I do have quite a bit of PbP game experience (I prefer playing using a table-top RPG system, however). I very much prefer my Disco RP to be in-game, and it's been working out pretty well for me, and I haven't had any complaints. I voted good, because I think 'very good' is a bit subjective and voting such would have been more than a little conceited. But I think my in-game RP might qualify as 'very good'. Rate your own RP - Ximen_Benitez - 12-02-2008 I'll put very good to see if Dab's ego lessons have done any good:P I think I'm pretty good at it, once I know the full RP of whichever person I'm playing at the time. I try:D Rate your own RP - jshkornmiller - 12-02-2008 On making stories on the forums, i kinda fail because i have a lack of detail. I guess i can see it all in my head but when i begin to type it out, its a smut and who-ha. But, i personally think that i am a good RPer in-game. Rate your own RP - alpha3 - 12-02-2008 I think mine is just average... >_> Rate your own RP - stewcool - 12-02-2008 I put good it could always use some improvment Rate your own RP - McNeo - 12-02-2008 I put average. I dont RP more than the needed most of the time, though I cannot play this game with only PvP involved; I do need RP interaction to make this game fun, but only a little. Some RP is really fun and is really spur-of-the-moment stuff. Other RP I find fun at times is when I get inspired by something or another and write a story. Both those are very rare now, though. Last I remember was Hessian Jam, and that was a long time ago. A shame really, I want to get ingame more. Those unique experiences are what I play this game for more than anything else. Rate your own RP - frozen - 12-02-2008 i put myself as average because fairly im a ****e judge of self-character. i try to RP my best, but sometimes do slip up. i enjoy pvp alot as well, and partly is one of the reasons im still here on discovery. though i know if i saw another lol accompanied with a gf without the //, id get pissed. being pressed for time with so many things i do in RL (and for the mod) means i havent been able to devote enough time to both ingame, or forum RP (stories, and such), but ive tried to keep my stories up (wish i had more people read and comment on them, via pm or that thread [shameless plug]), and hope people enjoy em as much as i enjoy writing them. |
