Toledo Lounge - Artemis88 - 03-22-2009 The scruffy man walked into a bar. "Oww! I really gotta stop drinking." He said to himself rubbing his head as he made his way through the door. Upon entering he gazed around and saw it was empty save for a man passed out or possibly sleeping at a table and an old friend at his usual spot. "Double shot of scotch on the rocks! Make it snappy" he growled at the Barkeep. "Yes sir, that will be 20 credits." "What! You trying to rip me off! Bah fine, here take it." The man then grabbed his drink and walked over to Chris. "Well shot me now, I don't believe it! Captain Philip J Fry. I cant believe your still walking these days" Chris said with the sarcasm thinly hid. "What have you been up to these days?" "Pipe down and I'll tell you." Pausing only to take a sip from his drink. "Just got back from Delta, scouting out the jump hole to Iota. Damn squishys are a bit too active these days for my liking. Then got ambushed by goram Bounty Hunters, though they turn tail and ran as soon as I opened fire." "So nothing new and exciting then huh?" Chris rose his glass to toast. "Heres to simpler times." Toledo Lounge - X-Lancer - 03-22-2009 Rear Admiral Asar walks in to the bar..and have a poster for the Victories of The Order "Hey guys...again. we win the Battle against BHG, but this time, we destroyed 3 Battleships!" here is a firework picture was taken during the combat"
Toledo Lounge - Daerune - 04-07-2009 Christopher took some time to read over the news then left the bar. Toledo Lounge - n00bl3t - 04-13-2009 Lieutenant Zane walked past a higher officer on his way in. Not that there would be many lower officers than him in the bar. Zane sighed at his predicament and walked up to the counter. It had been a long day. They had just been on high alert since a massive nomad force moved through Minor and he had been in the thick of the defending force. Luckily, both forces didn't meet, but he knew all too well what would have happened if they did. He had seen it too many times before. Too many friends lost. The bartender served him a drink and he barely took notice of the burn or taste as the liquid traversed down his esophagus. It had been a long day and it would start all over again once the ship had been repaired. Best to grab a drink and some sleep. Lyle entered the bar for pretty much the first time since he joined the Order. He could see several people scattered around the bar. Most of whom were quiet abit higher rank then he. He sat down at the bar (//or whatever the place that bartenders serve drinks at). "Can I get you anything?" The bartender asked. "Liberty ale," Lyle replied. He glanced at his side and saw a man with a Lt. rank pins with a slightly depressed expression. "Been a long day?" Lyle asked the man next to him. "Oh, by the way, I'm Ensign Lyle Marshall, joined the Order alongside the other new recruits not long ago." He questioned himself in his mind. This was his kind of man. "Lieutenant Alexander Zane, Lyle. Glad to meet you. Been in the thick of it yet?" The question was a common one and he wanted to know whether the ensign had seen any action or was still training on Toledo or Isis in simulations. Zane also saw Commodore Sophia Anderson walk into the bar in the corner of his eye. Toledo Lounge - aceraptor - 04-13-2009 ' Wrote:"Too long." Zane replied laconically before fully processing what Marshall had said. "Yeah, I've been in a few skirmishes with the Bounty Hunters, and also a small skirmish with the Liberty Navy when they stayed too close to the Omicron Minor Jumphole in Alaska and refused to be warned off. That wasnt even a battle, a few salvoes from the Osiris Battleship, I think it was The Wrath of Ma'at, that also responded sent the LN forces scurrying for cover." Lyle said. "I havent been in any major furballs with the Nomads yet, a few encounters yeah, but no major fleet action. But the Nomad fighters are tough little buggers," "But you know..." Lyle leaned in closer to Alexander, "I was a wingman in a recon mission, snuck into the Omicron Iota system and took some pictures of Nomad installations, along with updating the navmap, that mission got hairly when the Keepers finally noticed us." Lyle said in a lower voice. "We had to pull back out of the system before the recon was completed. The other Order agent got off scott free but me, the keepers, there was about 4 fighters on my tail by the tme i got back to Minor, chased me through 4 systems, first to Omicron 98 (//i think) then back to Iota since they cut me off, then to Delta and then finally to Minor, I was able to get to Isis and the Isis blew most of the Nomads to dust." Zane reflected on the stolen Liberty design. It seemed strange to him that the designers of the ship were yet to find a weakness they could exploit in it, considering the Liberty Navy constructed the ship. "I wouldn't quite put it that way." Zane responded to the praise Marshall had given the nomads. He wasn't about to give a mindless killer without any thought of self-preservation any praise. "I heard about that." Zane nodded. The pictures that the duo took was creating quite a stir with the collective Order intelligence departments. "It's about time I head off Lyle." Zane noticed the look his commanding officer had given him from across the bar. It was a mix of concern and reprimand at his insomnia, and how it was affecting him. "I have a big shift tomorrow. Hopefully, we meet again." Zane said as he left the bar. Toledo Lounge - icarios - 04-14-2009 In one corner of the bar was a lone fellow sipping his ale. "Ale........... Im never going to get use to this stuff." muttered Sergei. All that was going through his head was what odd job he was going to do next. Toledo Lounge - n00bl3t - 04-15-2009 Anderson wondered why the mercenary was here. She didn't ask. For all she knew he could have an assignment that had information about it that she wasn't privy to, although she doubted it. She watched Zane leave the bar in the corner of her eye. He had been talking to one of the kids that had brought in the newest updates on Iota. It was good stuff. She went up to the bartender and asked for a bottle. He knew exactly which one. She was going to need it. Tomorrow, the ship was headed to the Omegas. |
