Or even those cau8 gb's that are pestering o-7? Really, pirate whomever, but this "space is dangerous"... save me this crap... lowuttering is exaclty that, and ppl who log just to make haulers drop cargo and shoot it front of em, deserve treatment they receive, by me is shooting on sight, with 2 lines consisting of "All hands to stations, target in range" and "Make your prays scum, you going down" RE: Poll - POBs and Mining Areas - Sand-Viper - 05-03-2018 I keep forgetting that cruisers can pirate people... *Sigh* I'm still used to a day and age where pulling that trick would get you a one-way trip to Bastille. I don't like pirating people for all of their cargo, either. I just want a few million and I'll leave it at that. Barring that, maybe 500-1000 units of cargo, depending on the size of the transport I'm targeting. I realize that not all folks who play pirates share my viewpoints, however. RE: Poll - POBs and Mining Areas - buzzlightyear - 05-03-2018 Also there almost to none inhouse police officer that are openly roaming in high population hours...Also they are almost close to 0 escorts i whould love to hire an VHF escort for some mil's to get me to my destitnation, but they are none i sometimes do it my self for ma bois's but i havent seen a freelancer or bhg escort in a while. RE: Poll - POBs and Mining Areas - kerfy - 05-03-2018 How bout just put the mining field inside the POB.. lol. Seriuosly though , I would think that a POB would be placed outside of docking range from a mining field. The docking range of a 5K hauler specifically .. Hell its a treat to get pirated while mining some times. It relieves the boredom..
RE: Poll - POBs and Mining Areas - sasapinjic - 05-03-2018 I didnt say miners shuld be imune to pirating , just that real/respectfull pirates(read that as: pirate captains) shuld restrict them self from that . Pirate snubs are NOT real pirates/respectfull pirates captains , they are diferent story , they can and shuld attack anything . Act according to character you choosed , if you are pirate captain , you cant attack any patetic ship you see , it is not fitting ,and if you are pirate snub and do attack anything , dont act like great pirate , becouse you are not , you are just a little more than a scraper/junker. I , for example , have never attack miner ( or anything small ) in my Pirate Cruiser , and i restricted my self to intercept medium or larger Transports on tradelines . Or i have pirated traders in mining fields thar miners full, while i ignore miners and treat them like insects (as long they dont try anything), like real pirate captain do , they have dignity and certain code of conduct . ( Hegemon miners are exceptions , i treat them as traders .) RE: Poll - POBs and Mining Areas - LaWey - 05-03-2018 This is unpractically pirate small vessels on cruisers. Indeed Hegemon easy gankable by cruiser, not freighters. So, all guys do that anyway without any codexes. Also this is indeed spice of piracy - you are literally free. RE: Poll - POBs and Mining Areas - R.I.P. - 05-03-2018 I honestly do not care either way cause i would never mess with building a base, but would like to make my comments on this... "1 It is a waste of gaming time for the attacker (right clicking for 1 hour at off-hours). " If it is such a waste of time, DON"T DO IT. "2 It is a waste of time and effort for the builder (permaloss of the investment of time/money)" That is the risk they take.... "3 It creates only negativity specially as most builders never even know that they are doing something that will get the BS fleet rolling their way. It's "learning things in the worst possible way", and that is what we do not want for Disco." If they do not read the forum, how would they even know there is a rule against it anyways? For that i guess maybe getting on the forum to get a base building ship in the first place via requesting is a better solution, just slapping rules about it on the forum are not going to stop newbies from trying. Not everyone new automatically jumps on the forum to read the rules, i played this game for the first 2 years without ever being on these forums, |
