RE: Delta Intro Gone - Madvillain - 08-01-2019 Outrage over a new intro, this community is hilarious sometimes. It reminds me of the chicken coop my parents had. But surely the answer isn't to let other places rot and reek of poopoo? I mean personally I never had any issues with the pace of the Gallic War, only it's quality. As I've said previously, there is more to the overall storyline than just Gallia. If anything, I feel the focus on Gallia and scaleback on elsewhere has intensified people's dislike of the war and Gallic storyline in general. If more manpower is needed, then get more manpower - there has never been a lack of people wanting to help with the sharing and outsource of work. I just don't see the need or sense in a Development model that picks on yearly rotation what gets attention and what doesn't. An eta when this is all over would be good at the least. RE: Delta Intro Gone - Invoker - 08-03-2019 Omicron Delta intro was magnificent and meditative, completely different from others for better. Its removal is not end of the world. However, I'm a bit upset about that. RE: Delta Intro Gone - Hemlocke - 08-03-2019 Alright instead of taking shots at the questionable way Disco's story is being handled, and some of the absolute tools we have as community members could probably do a better job, instead of asking for the intros back we could recommend a solution such as adding a setting in the Launcher or selection that allows you to pick through the many different intros that the game has had over the years. If they're gonna go through the trouble of digging one up, might as well dig them all up right? Though currently i'm not sure if there's a coder in the dev team, they can correct me if i'm wrong on that. As a side note for the story, don't just tell Durandal he's doing some dumb sh*t when it comes to the story, tell him why and offer solutions to help him either do it better or do something else at the same efficiency level, he might be bull headed and ignore you(not throwing insults, just saying that's a possability, i'm quite bull headed myself) but outright hostility is pretty pointless. There is such a thing as constructive criticism, though I've seen very few in this community actually use it, but those that do have my respect. RE: Delta Intro Gone - Sombs - 08-03-2019 It's not even gone. It's still in the files. If you guys want the Delta intro back on your own installation, just go to Discovery/DATA/SCRIPTS/INTRO, then rename one of the current intros (intro_dsy_sigma21.thn, intro_dsy_tau31.thn or intro_dsy_pyres.thn) into literally anything else, then rename intro_dsy_delta.thn into whichever of the intros you chose to remove. From experience I can tell that this won't trigger Anti-Cheat because I've frequently replaced intro cutscenes with my own. You can also try out intro_dsy_charles.thn. Some of you might have seen Xalrok's blooper reel. The folder also contains all the other intros we had, even those from vanilla, although one of them doesn't work with Discovery anymore. They are all pretty self-explanatory. RE: Delta Intro Gone - Hemlocke - 08-03-2019 (08-03-2019, 12:17 PM)Sombra Hookier Wrote: It's not even gone. It's still in the files.
