Bonjour.
As you can see from the subject, we have got troubling news from the Zurich–Cologne region. Below, I will provide details regarding the events that took place there.

The patrol began in the Zurich system. While performing duties, no suspicious activity was detected in the system; however, it is still too early to speak of a decrease in the Unioners threat. Anyway, this is not the main reason for this report. The second part of the patrol took place in Cologne system. At first, everything was calm: the area around the Jump Gate was clear, with no suspicious activity detected. The events that followed became the key reason for writing this report, and based on the information below, I hope the situation in the region will receive significantly more attention than before.

Next location was Planet Steinfurt, where a flyby around the planet was conducted to detect possible hostile activity. Upon approach to the planet’s eastern part, multiple signals were detected, two of them belonged to Rheinland pilots and several to Bundschuh. At first, it was assumed that Rheinlanders had been ambushed; however, further contact revealed that they were under attack by Nomads. Hostile factions were forced to cooperate against a common threat, it was decided to join the engagement and provide assistance.

After destroying alien ships, an unknown entity was detected at distance from our group - no data about it was available; all attempts to capture its appearance failed. Shortly after, more Nomad ships began to appear around it out of nowhere, ranging from fighter-sized to comparable to heavy cruisers and even battleships. After a prolonged engagement, all 'summoned' Nomads suddenly vanished same way they've appeared, same happaned to those we've previously destroyed. Soon after, the entity itself disappeared without leaving any trace.
When the area became clear, ships belonging not only to Bundschuh and Rheinland forces were noticed, but also an Order agent named Melusine, as well as a civilian ship under unknown artificial intelligence control. When questioned about the nature of the entity, one Bundschuh vessel stated only: “Harbinger made an appearance.” No further information could be obtained from any of them. After that, their ships headed deep into the asteroid field, while I, together with the Rheinland pilots, headed towards the battleship Altenburg.

For now, I am planning to contact the GNI for possible assistance in obtaining information about this “entity” or, as it was referred to by the Bundschuh - “Harbinger.” I am also once again requesting to increase the precense of our forces in this region, since it is unknown how the situation will develop further.

Bonjour,

We received many informations concerning a rising combined force between Coalition and Red Hessian against our Rheinland compatriotes, we assembled a recon force of around 10 people, composed of Snubcrafts, one gunboat, one battlecruiser and Two Valors, accompanied by two Rheinland cruisers, we met at Wuppertal Refinery, and the battle came to us ...

Coalition and Red Hessian vessels went at us and started to send their Nightmare torpedoes to deactivate our shields, they're firepower were far more than us ... they had three Jormungand class Battleships and one of them were focused only to fireing anti shield torpedoes our Valors couldn't do anything ... it was a massacre ! I barely managed to escape back to Zurich and dock, the De Gaule got seriously damaged in the front and at the engines componants and needs repairs ... I send the coordinates to the medical team to retrieve the escape pods and shuttles for survivors.

Considering the situation, we ask the headquarters to consider Zurich and Cologne as "Hot Zones" and to reinforce those positions, I brought back all the ships under my command :
  • The Breguet - Gunboat
  • Le.Terrible - Destroyer
to Zurich and monitoring the system for further incursions from the Unioners / Coalition + Red Hessians

considering the recent events happened in the past weeks, i think those Commies will be greedy and try to push more, this conclude my reports.

Grand Amiral,

During one of our patrols, a convoy of Phoenix transports was detected on our borders and approached. A few offers later, the commander of the convoy was convinced to redirect the Iridium they were transporting to Abbeviile Production Facility, and did so under escort. On their way out, Niobium was purchased from one of the Gallic Metal Service smelters.

Nothing out of the ordinary until now, but from the conversations we had, we deem them as being potential business partners for the Union. During our escort, certain questions were asked, and the replies were favorable, meaning we share both common friends and foes. They were also flying Bulwark vessels of Bristol origin, one of our reliable business partners. The door was left open for further collaborations. The convoy captain was made aware of our laws and licenses needed to operate within the Union.

That would be all. In the future I advise we promote more leniency towards neutral factions and individuals willing to do business with the Union.
