"Abandoned" Bases - Weedalot - 05-11-2009 ' Wrote:Further idea:not bad... make some that are for fighters and bombers only and larger farther ones for bigger vessels .. i agree good idea. "Abandoned" Bases - Amdrial - 05-11-2009 I'd say yes if it would be possible to ''eject'' players out of stations by coding through FLHook. A suggestion would be to make it launch you off the station whilst the station was playing it's detonation animation. "Abandoned" Bases - ioha - 05-11-2009 I like that idea a lot. Would add a ton of possible RP situations. As mentioned before, make most of them dockable for fighters only, make them invisible on the scanner, as blunt said. You can even explain this with dense fields around them (another scarecrow for transports) or some strange distortion signals that they emit from their damaged comm antennae. "Abandoned" Bases - Varyag - 05-11-2009 I totally aprove of this idea. Like a freeport without the zoners. It could be the source of massive rp. Like a place you could maybe go as a semi lawful to hunt pirates who land at the same base. There should be a fully operational station complete with goods. Make a rum commodity and it would be epic. "Abandoned" Bases - Zapp - 05-11-2009 I got an idea for one of these, if it happens. Backstory: Bowing to public pressure, the Bretonian government finally contracted a group of Cambridge scientists to begin cleaning up the Leeds system. A small station was secretly tucked away in the West Leeds Smog Cloud, and research was begun to find a cost-effective way to reduce the smog cloud size. The Mollys, however, tagged a convoy carrying supplies to the station and managed to follow it. Discovering the station, and its purpose, they sent a group of ships to attack the station. Too far out for the BAF or BPA to respond, the station was captured and the scientists executed. Reasons for Molly violence are believed to be their fondness for the cover that the smog cloud offers. Deterred by Molly interference in a project they were already unsure about, the Bretonian government declared the attempt a failure and closed all files pertaining to the failure. The station, however, is still out there. Some say haunted by the ghosts of the dead scientists, murdered in cold blood. Mwahahahaha. I mean err... yeah. Take it as you will. Purple dot is the base location. I drew the red square cuz I like red squares. "Abandoned" Bases - MarvinCZ - 05-12-2009 That location isn't really what I had in mind, away from civilisation and routes... I'd rather have it add flavour to less populated systems than add more to overcrowded ones (which Leeds is). "Abandoned" Bases - Zapp - 05-12-2009 Just an idea. I'd think one in eastern Galileo or Kepler would be pretty cool, too. Or Hudson/Bering. "Abandoned" Bases - Cellulanus - 05-12-2009 ' Wrote:Just an idea. I'd think one in eastern Galileo or Kepler would be pretty cool, too. Or Hudson/Bering. I can see a base in Kepler or Galileo at the edge of the dark matter field as a small DSE base that miraculously survived the dark matter storm. "Abandoned" Bases - Zapp - 05-12-2009 Or one related to the Dallas Incident, heh. "Abandoned" Bases - Cellulanus - 05-12-2009 Hmm.. I'm currently having a hand at modding Rheinland to make some improvements, I might try to place one such station somewhere. (If I can ever get FLE to work properly that is) |
