"Wish Commander Crowe didn't leave this one to me. Well, can't help it now. I'll try not to be too... Baggy."

"With my primary duties on the Citadel completed, I flew to the Colorado system to join the Bristol convoy escort alongside our other forces: Commander Crowe and Legionnaire Comoro. The convoy was impressive. In addition to several of Bristol transports, there were also DSE ships. And a very diverse company of escorts, including bounty hunters and, to my surprise, the leader of one of the Xenos factions, Cobra. It seems that everyone present has managed to come to some sort of agreement, however unlikely it may seem. I suppose we should give Commander Crowe credit for that."

"Everything was going well and fairly calm until the Galileo border, where we were ambushed by Rogues. Those scumbags never learn. Along with the rest of the escorts, we quickly took care of the attackers, and the convoy was able to continue its journey to Kusari. It was... strange, fighting with Cobra on the same side. And I have to admit, he's a good pilot. Makes you wonder what we could have achieved if Xenos had gotten their heads straight. Maybe Liberty would be a different place."

"After finishing with the convoy, we found ourselves in a rather tense situation. Legionnaires, the Xenos leader, and the Liberty carrier, all in one place. The carrier commander, apparently unable to withstand the tension, decided to retreat without giving us a proper talk... And saying rather strange things. For example, that we want someone "with bags"."

"I don't even know how to describe this dialogue as we tried to hold off the carrier until Exarch West arrived on Incursus. I'll just provide the logs of this fascinating exchange, full of bags and all."

"We parted ways with Cobra in a peaceful manner this time. Can't imagine it becoming something usual, though, given our history."

"Bristol also landed us some money when we were making our way back. I suppose they were grateful for our assistance."

"While I was recording the above, an alien life form contacted me near Freeport 14. I have been asked to report such cases."

"It didn't attempt to close in, staying at a very large distance from me and the Freeport. Judging by the fact that I was unable to make visual contact, as well as its general behavior, I suspect that it was a juvenile. For some reason abandoned or expelled by its pack."

"I've given it my honest recommendations. It seems to distrust the Technocracy. But perhaps it will find a way to reach Psyche. Providing the logs of our conversation below."

"... There must be some instructions on how to speak to those creatures, right?"

I was returning from my routine patrol in Vespucci when I entered the Magellan system and encountered a lone 1st Navy Fleet battleship, the Colorado. After the usual exchange of words, two more battleships arrived: the 1st Navy Fleet Nightfall and the 46th Navy Fleet New Jersey. The New Jersey was an Arbiter-class battleship, so either the 46th Navy Fleet managed to capture one, or the crew and their captain decided to switch sides when the Hellfire Legion went down.

Over our encrypted comms, I informed all nearby Task Force pilots about the presence of the three Navy battleships. Thankfully, my call wasn’t ignored, the Incursus and an interceptor wing made their way into Magellan to engage the enemy.

The Nightfall decided to retreat from the grid and headed north, where we managed to intercept and eventually disable both the vessel and its escorts. The Incursus and its crew were able to outmanoeuvre and outperform the Nightfall.

Shortly after, a Xeno wing intercepted us, forcing another engagement. The Xenos fought fiercely, but thanks to our experienced leadership and guidance, we were able to bring them down.

Overall, it was a win for our Task Force, though I’m still curious about the 46th Fleet’s New Jersey...

Two (2) hours before my shift started, I have received a distress signal on our Neural Net Frequency about some Liberty Navy activity in California. When I arrived on scene, we found a Siege Cruiser, A Gunboat and a Very Heavy Fighter, parked right outside the "Battleship Concord". After a quick series of verbal jousting, typical from the navy, as they like to bark from behind the fence, we have decided that we have had enough of their yapping and went in. In the end we have made a quick trash gathering and they ended up where they needed to be. RTB was set for Valravn. Sustained damage was minimal on all involved ships.

Legionnaires, attend.

Several days ago, Tijuana Freeport in the Vespucci system came under fire by a Liberty Dreadnought of unknown capability, configuration, and origin. The vessel appears to be badly damaged, and acting on its own accord. We have reason to believe that this vessel, codenamed URSA, will attempt to strike at soft targets throughout the system in search of repair and resupply. These include Orbital's liner Barbados, San Joaquin Production Facility, or again at the Tijuana itself.

I shouldn't need to remind any of you that these stations comprise the remnants of the Commonwealth or of allies of it. We have lost so much already, and a loss of any of these installations, particularly Tijuana and Barbados, is a blow we simply cannot afford.

To this end, I am dispatching Lts. Marks and Scerri under command of Cdr. Freud to Tijuana with a wing of bombers to stand guard. While our priority must remain the safety of civilians in the sector, I'm very certain the Exarchy would prefer to take the frame intact if at all possible.

You have your orders. Report to Tijuana. We will not see Vespucci watered with even one more drop of Commonwealth blood.

Exarch West, I've forwarded the drive signature and other relevant emissions data to you directly for a second set of eyes, but I've already gone over that data myself. You know why I picked that codename. What the fuck is happening out there, ma'am? Did the drone turn anything up? Just give the word and I'll have Incursus underway. We're still hurting a little from the engagement with the Nightfall, but the old girl has seen worse. Cut us loose.

"This is going to be a short one."

"During a routine patrol with Commander Crowe we've stumbled upon a new installation in Kansas system. Named "Freeport-54". Appears to be an ALG station."

"I suppose some talks are in order."

[SECURE - YELLOW]

Took Flush out for a spin with Crowe, Scerri, and Walters to do a sweep of New York. First contact was some Core drone operating within Liberty, though the big prize came up in the lanes after we hit Manhattan. One of ours, Mark IX Arbiter that the Navy thinks they call New Jersey, strolling around Manhattan orbit like it owned the place. Got some words in, some local resistance started flowing in, and we moved into the Jersey for cover from the pursuit. Walters got caught by a wasp fired into the scrap, and Crowe and I jumped in to cover.

All targets but one went down sequentially, though one of the spooks did have a bit of systems erraticity, so he elected to pull the ol' cyanide capsule and blow his ship to prevent capture. The last one Scerri took up in a duel while I went back to grab more ammunition at Rochester. When I got back, things had deteriorated. LSF and Navy goons all over the place, a dreadnought, gunship, the works. Walker went down first to the geek squad. Crowe, Scerri, and I held our own, with the call sent out across the network, but then Moretti came in.
Cobra and three of his mates jumped into the fray, on our side to boot. Helped ease off a lot of the pressure, but not before Crowe and Scerri bit it. The cover squad iced one of the 46th's aces that jumped in, but then Moretti went down.

Next was one of the secondary Navy pigs, who I swear was out to collect every Firestalker and Sidewinder I had aboard my ship. Pattern repeated, and another Xeno went down, then one of the spooks. Pattern broke when another spook followed, but returned when another Xeno fell. At this point, cover squad was down to two people left, and the Navy decided to roll in a second dreadnought to keep the other one company. They took their chance and left, so I followed suit and made out while I could.

I gotta hand it to Moretti and his boys, I wouldn't have made it out without 'em, so that counts for something. Flush is gonna have a dings and scrapes to patch out, but nothing that can't be fixed.

As part of the operation to demoralize the Xenos stationed at Fontana Freeport in California, a small group of pilots was assigned to lead the initial attack. It didn’t take long before we spotted the first Xeno patrol nearby. With our objective clear, we engaged the Xenos without hesitation.

I would like to inform High Command that today's training session unfolded quite differently than expected. I'm aware that, for some reason, we tolerate the presence of Nomads in the Inverness system and choose not to "disturb" them, but allowing our pilots to engage in a "best of three" match against an Aegis Bounty Hunter is entirely unprecedented. Furthermore, I'm not convinced this will do anything positive for morale, especially with Locksmith and Knox present, observing how we handle an Aegis Hunter firsthand. In any case, I'm sure Crowe had their reasons, but inviting the Hunter into our training session crossed a line.

Ward,

Wanted to get a better picture of what that probe had on it before I got back to you on this, though I already know I'm heading down there myself to figure this out. I've got my own ideas of what it could be, and I'm really hoping I'm right, so go ahead and get INCURSUS rolling. A little damage never stopped her from kicking ass, and if I'm right she won't need to do anything but look good and represent. From what I hear, this dreadnought didn't walk away good from that fight, and some of the other word I've heard mentioned some of our communications codes being sent to the station just prior to the attack.

I'm gonna keep looking through that drone, though. Nice catch with that.

Alright, folks,

Exarchy's finalizing a response to some nerds with our tech who are looking to get it out of Crayter's hands. We're organizing an expeditionary force to keep her safe. I need a roster of pilots prepped within the next day or so to head up to Barrier Gate in preparation for their departure. Said they're expecting a mobilization at 1900hours day of the 16th.

Expect Crayter vessels, but don't cause any unnecessary trouble. Retaliatory strikes only.
Those with interest can submit word to my net address. And don't be afraid to flash a little while you're out there. Any publicity is good publicity.

As most of you are now aware, Legionnaire Crowe was shot down by the 46th fleet's LNS Akhetaten during a skirmish in Magellan. They've remained in critical condition in Valravn's ICU since and have so far undergone two major surgeries to remove shrapnel and repair an internal bleed.

While these surgeries were successful, Crowe did not wake up and spiked a high grade fever shortly thereafter. Both our and the Technocracy's best doctors suspected a bacterial infection acquired either from the initial injury or the surgeries themselves and have been attempting treatment with broad spectrum antibiotics.

Crowe's condition seriously deteriorated overnight, requiring electric cardioversion several times to terminate arrhythmia. We don't know if they're going to make it. At present time our best theory is an unknown ice-borne pathogen from Magellan's fields. Commander Crowe has been started on IV Elgamycin which comes with its own set of dangerous side effects, but we believe the risk to be worth the shot at saving them.

Freud, With, I'm including you in this communique because Legionnaire Crowe's wishes were for you to address any outstanding personal matters. That means you're being given access to all their dirty laundry, private comm lines, diary. I know you'll both treat them with respect.

Freud, I know you're very close with Crowe and I wish I could pull you from this fucking op at Tijuana but I do not have the people. The second this situation resolves you have full permission to proceed at best speed to Valravn and take as much time as you need.

Lieutenants Scerri and Levenko, you both have outstanding complaints lodged against either Crowe or their subordinates. I'll do my best to address them as quickly as is humanly possible, but I have no intention of chewing them out until they've fully recovered if they manage to pull through.

If you have a god or something you pray to, now would be the time to put a few words in for our Legionnaire.
