Eyup.

We've had a tip-off about a group called Noth Squadron from one of our informants. The actual tip was a bust, but the evidence they sent over showed "Noth" pilots in Cambridge, flying a Mule freighter and a Thor Mk I Rheinland black market bomber. Both legally prohibited tech in Bretonian space.

Could be something, could be nothing. Possibly smugglers or pirates creeping in from the Omegas. We've had trouble with pirate mercenaries on a terrorist bankroll recently though - I've tangled with a few of em myself, Suntigers I think they were called.

Keep an eye out, see if we can confirm or deny whether they're up to no good.

Cheers

We have received a suspect bulletin from the Intelligence Services about acts of brazen piracy in orbit of Planet Leeds (attached). This is unacceptable for obvious reasons.

The vessel in question was flying an [EX] identifier, which we are concerned may reflect membership in a broader pirate gang. [EX]-Grenzjaeger was masquerading under a Zoner transponder, likely a false flag to deceive shipping while closing distance.

Please report any further encounters with [EX] flagged vessels, or other suspicious Zoner combat ships, so a full intelligence dossier can be compiled.

In the interim, constables are authorized to use force to detain [EX] vessels for questioning.

Yours sincerely

Gentlemen,

I have recently had the pleasure of assisting Senior Executive Officer Barnaby S. Harper, Commanding Officer of the Bretonian Intelligence Service's carrier Morrigan with several small field trials of the BIS's new carrier. I must say I am envious of their budget. Regardless of how fancy their kit is, I wanted to get out ahead of this and issue a memo here advising CDI of upcoming BIS interdiction operations within Cambridge. Senior Executive Officer Harper, or a representative of his, will be formally contacting us on the matter in the near future with a formal request and detailed operation deployments. It seems the spooks are looking to get extra manpower on this one, so I am approving a modest increase to the laundry budget and maintenance expenses. I want everyone to actually be clean and presentable when the BIS send a representative over to us. That means clean your desk too.

In the meantime, everyone make sure you get your ships inspected twice over, I want to make sure all of our kit is ready for deployment. Make sure Kevin down in the maintenance bay actually documents everything with your ships accurately too, I don't want him fudging the numbers again on repair costs.

Yours sincerely

First off, thank you ma'am. I will be sure to put my bonus and increased salary to good and proper use. I will be reallocating janitorial funds for a party at the station the day after tomorrow to celebrate.

Also, as my first act as Inspector I want to know what the hell happened with Fujiwara Group. I had this get dropped in my email yesterday morning and no one's bothered to forward me a single report about the incident. Is anyone inclined to step forward and shed some light on the matter? I will be launching a formal investigation on the matter, so best step up sooner than later.

Also, Jesus, have you seen this comm from Cryer? Do we need to assemble a special committee to figure out what we're going to do about this? Do we do hostage negotiations? This question is a test, I assure you I know the answer.
Please respond ASAP, in the meantime I am going to check out my new office. It even has a door.

Yours sincerely

Jacky,

Look, it's complicated. We were at Belvedere, and there was some Vodka, and then all these guys showed up, and, and, and...

Alfie did it!

He was the ranking officer! He authorized everything that happened! I was just try'na do my job, mate! Take a look for yourself!

I'm just some constable, you know I need supervision, and I was worse than unsupervised! He was egging us on!

It was all HIM! Anything that happens to me also has to happen to him!

Wotcha Jacky, congrats on the pips.

Am I still allowed to call you Jacky, or is it Inspector now?

Long and short of it is Doc Mint and Goose were in over their heads at Belvedere and asked for a sergeant to respond. When I arrived, I saw that they'd kettled an Outcast that was sat on top of the hangar, and this Samura lass and their hired gun had chosen to insert themselves in the middle of it.

The Outcast was claiming to be some big shot assassin and spy - probably lit-rally high on their own supply if you ask me. Neither way, I didn't fancy our odds of detaining it without someone losing an eye, so we went with Bob's old approach of de-escalating the situation through words and nonsense.

That worked out well enough, as the Outcast cleared off of their own accord without any grievous bodily harm occurring. Almost straight after, a Corsair transport bumbled out of the Cumbria Field and triggered PLOPS by trying to scarper down the lanes. We collared him, but the Samura ship and their escort decided to follow us over.

I asked Doc and Goose to deploy traffic cones to stop em from interfering with a crime scene while we interrogated the smuggler. Doc has... helpfully... provided the logs for that bit.

Anyways, that Fujiwara lot repeatedly chose to put themselves into a situation where they were in the proximity of wronguns - which is suspicious like, in of itself! - then they have the brass neck to complain about getting the sirens. They're lucky we didn't cuff em for getting in the way.

Cheers

This is an emergency bulletin for all special constables assigned to the New London operational zone.

We have been notified of a high-profile kidnapping involving a senior Cryer doctor. Dr Eric Moore is affiliated with the Cambridge Research Institute, and the bacterial eradication program on Carlisle.

He was abducted by Mollys who appear to have possessed advance intelligence of his movements, and were laying in ambush with a considerable strike force.

Needless to say, Dr Moore remaining in Molly hands is an extreme risk to state security - the Bretonian Intelligence Service are already involved and assessing the situation. We do not want a repeat of Fort Monach on New London.

We have initially been asked to provide manpower to assist the BIS investigation. The ambush occurred in New London, grid sector F3/4, on the Trade Lane between the Manchester Jump Gate and Kensington Station.

Our first order of business is to provide vessels to carry out a forensic, high-intensity search of the area to recover debris associated with the attack.

Surviving Cryer security personnel report that several Molly vessels were shot down. While they certainly recovered their own pilots, there may be salvage that can be recovered, which could contain invaluable data.

However small, however fragmentary - whatever you find, bag it up and bring it back to Planet New London for BIS analysis. Any intact memory or data wafers could provide critical insight into resolving this situation.

Finally, if you have sight on any Molly operatives, and are in a position to engage and detain on favourable odds, do so. As a matter of priority. We may soon require... leverage.

Yours sincerely

Tops, Chins, Jacky, somebody,

I need to report a paranormal incident!

Me and Goose were out at the Tyne Ice Field in Newcastle (you know, that colony-war-era BMM body dumping site?), and started experiencing a ton of feedback and sensor echoes on the transceivers. We kept hearin’ things that wasn’t said by the other, until we saw a doppelganger of Herb!

It kept trying to get us to shoot each other, then threatened to kill one of us. I rightfully took some distance from the two to de-escalate the situation, as proscribed by the CDI handbook.

Herb tried to deploy both the cones (the shiny new ones) and the sirens, but neither worked. After Herb appeased the spirit with enough tricks and such, it faded away towards the Galloway.

See the logs. I think we need to call the BIS in on this one. Herb probably also needs a priest. This is way above my pay grade!

(By the way, I need a raise. Need money for all the... ghost... therapy. Yeah.)

Topic: Update on the expansion of the prison estate.
Clearance: SENSITIVE

Following the decommissioning of BPA Parkhurst, the Bretonian prison estate has been struggling with acute overcrowding.

This is already causing an increased rate of violent unrest within holding facilities on Planet Sprague in particular. As a result, the CDI received a one-time funding grant from the Home Office to procure temporary overflow facilities.

After encountering practicality issues with obtaining real estate on Sprague itself, we have instead successfully procured a passenger liner that was being retired from active service in the Bamburgh Company. Bamburgh have overseen a number of refits to allow us to effectively use the vessel as a prison hulk.

A final inspection has been scheduled for tomorrow, after which we anticipate taking possession of the ship and preparing for a deployment to Omega-3. Pilots on rota for spaceborne patrol are expected to assist with escorting the HMPS Berwyn to its holding position near the Wilkes Junction

From here, the Berwyn will be responsible for receiving inbound convicts for processing, and then overseeing deportations primarily to Rheinland.

The Berwyn will be primarily receiving Rheinland nationals that have committed crimes within Bretonian territory, or other Criminals captured in Bretonia with outstanding priority warrants in Rheinland territories. These commonly include Corsair, Coalition, and Red Hessian pilots.

Yours sincerely
