Being K'Hara lead means we still have a single perk, and I am detached from reality and out of the loop, clearly. Infinite ZoI, which is only used for being able to engage someone before they can gather an overgank when we have to go all the way to the Shrine in Unknown to get our minirazor because that's the only place it's sold. Because there's not really anything for us to do outside of ZoI except troll in unexpected areas, which earns us complaints about failrp and threats of unoffdom lol.

As an unlawful player I do wish that faction tags didn't exist for a lot of the reasons mentioned earlier in the thread, being visible does invite ganks sadly, though that seems like a hard thing to fix within the current engine. The rest of the "being an OF player is worse than being an indie cause I *have* to RP" sentiment is just trash tho and indicative of the complete lack of standards OF have in this here Discovery Freelancer Roleplay 24/7 community

Cant wait for code drops to either be buffed (to crash the market) or nerfed (to make drops non-existent) next. Not even 100% sure why this change is necessary, but I suppose I’ll waste an extra 1 to 3 minutes mining to fill a hege now, if I dust off my OF HRC miners.
On another note, this nerf/buff (however you want to see it) is mildly amusing that the “economy being too saturated” caused the targeting of ores and not the real problem: The Trade Routes.
Addressing a symptom doesn’t cure the disease, only masks it.

OF Bonus is +0.5 (only, tears galore!)
0.5 + Container = 1.5
1.5 Translates from 3 min > 1 min extra mining / 5ker
For an OF perk, IF IT WERE THE ONLY PERK, It would be a slap on the work put in to be OF - RP, PR, management, Activity.
But its not the only perk! That's the main issue.
OF have a lot of other perks and a +1 base +1 Container = +2 Mining Bonus for OF. Seems fair. Or not, when you have 3x + 2 = 5x. That's a lot of ore.
So, overall the -0.5 is acceptable, not palatable, but acceptable. There is math behind it. Ask for it.
If its not, then you can get you pitch and torches.

didn't knew deployable mining container gave bonus to mining
even if it did, why would you account for it ?in the old mining system it would mean you already mined too much before your friends returned, In the new one it can't be used since asteroid are too far away, which makes it irrelevant for this thread discussion
even more diminished returns to becoming an official factions or joining one is not something that's desirable, as it seemed it these posts above

Being an Official Faction isn't exclusively about the mining bonus though.
