If Nomads were superior, they wouldn't have gotten beaten by Trent.
Aargh! Our city wasn't finished yet! Stupid Human comes by, goes [color=#FFFFFF]SHOOP DA WHOOP and the gate goes prematurely! We weren't beaten! xD

/signed. (I can understand you wanting it to look good and all that, but that does not justify extra firepower.)

I actually want my own Avenger aswell for my LSF character. I want it to have these two small wings I added. Well I don't have milkshape or other 3D modeling programs right now, I modified the picture fast in photoshop. I bet you can get the idea. The small wings should have same angle as the tail.
I`ll tell a friend of mine to make the ship using a 3D program.

Well, was this actually meant to be submitted in game? Or was it more of a cameo concept?

As far as the "one person only"... well, see, in the Nomad Lore there's this little mention of Nomad influence in Liberty... granted, I'll be completely re-writing it, but the time may come and it may be nice to have a few ships like this. If any of you have ever seen Babylon 5, the corrupt Earth gov't did some Faustian deals with the Shadows, and turned their normal Omega Destroyers:

Into these things: (which are really hard to find decent pictures of... notice the "skin" and the spines coming out of it, that's the important part)

Granted, the alien tech incorporated into it was dark and spiderlike, but the same idea could be used here. The Nomads DO have a Liberty-built shipyard, after all... while these ships would be far from common, the occasional integrated cruiser could find a home. I would suggest that the infocard be made nonspecific to the Tundra, and usable for The Wild (that's "The Wild" not "Das Wilde", by the way... we have a Liberty branch, we're just a lot quieter right now. Keyword "right now").

As for stats... battlecruiser is the wrong direction. Even though it will get bigger because of the spines and stuff, it's still on the small end of "cruiser" and has a forward gun. It could get a modified forward gun for this class of ship (in fact, it really should get a separate one) but "cruiser" is definitely the right place to be. Especially for a ship that should end up in the hands of more than just one person, and can actually find escorts, it shouldn't be in the same classification as the Necrosis- which goes out of its way to be a "take on anything by itself and have a decent chance of victory". Anti-cap cruiser is where this should be, the Liberty Cruiser it's based on is like that and that's what Zapp wants it to be.

Oh, about the "Wild should try to blend in" that I've seen from a few people... have you ever seen people RP with the Wild? 90% of the time, they see "Wilde.name" and go "ZOMGWILDEHALP". Now and then we get someone we can convince (from a distance) that we're normal, but it's pretty rare. Plus, a ship like this would probably read on long-distance scanners as a modified Liberty Cruiser- and once they get close enough to see the spines, there's no use pretending anyway.

I like the idea, keep at it.

It should be noted that one of the first things the Nomads did in SP was enhance the infested ships.

All Rheinland ships got a cloak, the infested Liberty ships got Nomad cannons...

In that case.. I'd like this as my LN Avenger :DIt resembles the shape of a nomad assassin:P

This is the infocard I wrote up for this some time ago, by the by...

Quote:"Tundra" Class Siege Cruiser

Originally a Liberty Navy ship researching sleeper technology deep in Alaska, the Tundra was infested by Nomads and disappeared into the deep Omicrons. A year passed before the ship was seen by human eyes again. It was changed. Before long, scans taken by Order scout ships discerned the change: the Tundra had become a Nomad/human technology hybrid.

Since then, it has been an ominous symbol to humans that know of its existence that the Nomad threat is still very real. The Order has tried numerous times to destroy this monstrosity, but each time they have failed. Power readings are sketchy at best, and extended 'EMS Electronic Warfare' capabilities have made contacts with the ship disorientating to scanners to say the least.

The Order suggests all ships keep a safe distance from this ship.

It could be modified easily... like so:

Quote:"Tundra" Class Siege Cruiser

Designed off the template of the LNS Tundra, a Liberty Navy ship researching sleeper technology deep in Alaska which was infested by Nomads and disappeared into the deep Omicrons, this ship is an obvious Nomad/human technology hybrid.

This class of ship has become an ominous symbol to humans that know of its existence that the Nomad threat is still very real. The Order has tried numerous times to destroy these monstrosities, but each time they have failed. Power readings are sketchy at best, and extended 'EMS Electronic Warfare' capabilities have made contacts with the ship disorientating to scanners to say the least.

The Order suggests all ships keep a safe distance from this ship.

It'd still be the "Tundra" class;)but yeah, the second one fits Sovereign's idea. And the EMS Electronic Warfare is something I RP with, no actual game mechanics needed there.

And please, stop with the Avenger hijacking. It's irrelevant and off-topic.

Great model, even with how rarely i do see the Tundra.

But I'm curious, whats the problem with the -actual- nomad skin? The translucent blue bit. When I did my half-assed job of a Nomad Battlecruiser i had no problems and it was a CMP.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Since the main gun is going to be a "more organic version" Perhaps copy the gun, except make it fire a more nomad looking projectile instead of the original lib main gun. (The same idea done to the engines)
As for the BC Stats... sure if it was given a flatout BC Powerplant it could spam all guns.

But if you take say....2 BS guns, 6 Cruiser Guns (If they're all nomad guns)
Tundra Cruiser, 2 BS / 6 Cruiser Guns : 52k hull damage, 26k shield damage, 154k power drain per second
----With Powerplant (below), 14k power drain
Normal Lib Cruiser, 7 Cruiser Guns : 42k / 21k / 105k
----With Powerplant, 10k power drain

So say something around a... 2m capacity, 140k regen
The Turret vs Powerplant drain is equal between the two.
Firing only the forward gun is more effective on the Tundra's Powerplant in this situation though.

Uhm, no comment from me to the actual topic.

But this....

' Wrote:I'm not in the faction and I have a ship docked on a coalition base right now. Could even buy a coalition ship I guess, but that would be naughty.

How? I mean, HOW you managed docking there without getting shot by the NPC's and the stations/bases itself when you are not in the Coalition?
Last time i checked that system, everything except the asteroids and planets have been hostile.

...so?

Little thing called an Omega-52 visa. I have one too. Provide an RP reason to visit, get neutral Coalition rep.

As for the Avenger stuff, we get it, I'm suggesting it not just be for Zapp, even if his ship is the pioneer.

Come to think of it, the Keepers were asking for a cruiser that was not, basically, a gigantic piece of glowing genitalia, this could theoretically fill that role too.

Although I really, really think that battlecruiser is the wrong way to go. Nomad Turrets are pretty heavy, and something this size and able to chainfire them... while having a Melting Ray... sounds like it would chew up any other capital ship in the game. That's not exactly "balanced", and it can't be balanced just for a specific loadout like the Necrosis can.
