Mandalorian Series Development Thread - Flo - 08-24-2009 ' Wrote:I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, since this is a great model and all, but aren't making ships only for the Mandelorians detrimental to the greater Disco audience? That's what I say in general. We don't need our very own ship, just a ship we can use like it would be ours;) Mandalorian Series Development Thread - Eppy - 09-08-2009 Right, I had my moment with the prototype, so I went on to build production versions. Here's the first, the light fighter variant, working title 'Redback' (I'm naming them after salamanders until Deiter tells me to use something else). I tried to slim it down and crunch it up a bit at the same time to produce something smaller and more compact, more in line with the Dagger silhouette than before (which, if necessary, it could share a slightly tweaked hitbox with, though hopefully somebody will be able to provide a custom rig). ![]() ![]() ![]() PLEASE NOTE:
I do not care if you think the Mandalorians should or shouldn't get their own shipline. I do not care what you think about custom shiplines in general. This is not my problem, it's Igiss's and Deiter's to mull over. This thread is not for mulling over such philosophical matters. This thread is about a model I have hewn from the aimless pixels. Keep your posts to that topic or I will have you harmonized. Mandalorian Series Development Thread - frozen - 09-08-2009 the cockpit is horrendous, and methinks it should have a dual engine instead of the single it has right now. in its current shape it would fit at best as a LF, or a light HF (oxymoron much?) Yes, Gurj, the cockpit is still horrendous. I'll fix that whenever the hell I feel like. Dual Engine BAD. I'm doing that for the HF/VHF variant. As it stands, yes, it is an LF. Mandalorian Series Development Thread - Eppy - 09-09-2009 The Heavy Fighter, provisionally 'Hellbender.' U c wut I did thar. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Mandalorian Series Development Thread - Elsdragon - 09-09-2009 Snushed stilleto. I Liek *ninja editing something constructive* Nose didnt seem to telescope as much as BW line though Mandalorian Series Development Thread - Eppy - 09-09-2009 ' Wrote:Snushed stilleto. Definitely not. I like it. It's cute in a homely sort of way. I love how I manage to start out with a Star Wars ship and it turns into a mutant Stiletto. I have to figure out some way to make a superdoom VHF out of it, though, and that's going to be a challenge. Mandalorian Series Development Thread - Jinx - 09-09-2009 the last version is a step back. - the thin nose and the massive stuff under the ship doesn t fit. - it looks unproportionate much. actually - it would even look better without the "nose" at all - but only with a stubby front. Mandalorian Series Development Thread - Elsdragon - 09-09-2009 Simple, Put a Second engine thing above It, And have two guns on each protrusion, and 2 guns and a turret on the main Cabin Mandalorian Series Development Thread - frozen - 09-09-2009 ' Wrote: yus, i c. but, looking at this last picture, you've overused the grill effect. look through im sure you'll probably find different effects to use for grills. |
