ICHS is open again and the posting of images of the anime persuasion has resumed in a new thread. The cycle of life goes on.

The Angelfire thread, thrown about as the totem of bias, though probably not conspiracy as Angelfire isn't in any official factions that I'm aware of, is images of ladies in bikinis and other wear. If they were running out in their birthday suits, ladyhandling one another's whoas or wowheys or any combination of the above then we'd shut it down.

*shrugs*

Though I suppose if I'm ever bored a pretty good way to kill some time would be to post innapropriate subject matter and then question why it was subject to moderation. Have to keep that in mind for the future.

Anyways, the thing to consider is that by posting some of the 'racier' images, you may be giving someone the excuse they want to stop their son/daughter from playing this game and using these forums. Just something to think about.

Today its closed again and removed from the forum.

The decision to close it was unanimous amongst the moderation and administration team as the content it contained is simply not appropriate for the mixed age groups of the discovery community nor does it fall within the guidelines of condoned material for the forum as a whole; chiefly due to the heavily suggestive themes of the imagery inherit to the topic.

I also understand that frustrated parties will look upon posts such as Angelfires, which had women not fully clothed holding up words on a sheet of paper, as an example of unfair moderation in this regard. Rest assured that we will examine such threads in the future under a level eye so as to avoid affronting the sensibilities of those who feel that this decision is unfairly targeting them.

Though the ambition is somewhat hopeless, I know, I would ask that you maintain the same sensitivity of thought that went into re-opening the thread that goes into closing it. While I have little doubt that this will earn a lifetime of snide comments and frustrated gestures about the wretched and unfair nature of the mod team please understand that the subject received considerable deliberation amongst a wideranging group of persons.
