Once again - Kusari - Bazza - 09-23-2009 I bought some Chrysanthemum pilots off of a Spa and Cruise Explorer gunboat in Okinawa last night.... 20k a pop. It's kind of tricky for me to go to Kusari because I'm not welcomed by the Navy, Police, Kishiro, Samura, Hogosha, Corsairs, Farmers Alliance... etc. I have like 3 bases I can operate out of in the entire Kusari nation. Which would be ok if I was a pirate, but I need to find ways to trade in or out of those 3 stations.:(The slug from Bretonia to the Matsuda takes well over 45 minutes because I can't use the accursed tradelanes. Once again - Kusari - jammi - 09-23-2009 ' Wrote:Thugs? Kusari? ' Wrote:And Kusari is a strange place. It's mostly empty other than powertraders. This unfortunately means that 97% of the population are lolwhuts, but the 3% of actual Kusari players (rather than mute traders that are just passing through) I've come across have given me some of the best RP I've ever had the fortune of stumbling across. My quote seemed apt. For the most part, I prefer Bretonia to Kusari which is why I have all my main characters there, and only one minor one in Kusari. And personally, I think the complexity of Kusari RP is massively overstated. It's really not that hard to get your head round. If you get into Bretonian politics (ask LeMatire) it'll make your head spin to a far greater degree than the murky relations between Samura, Famers and Hogsha would. Once again - Kusari - ProwlerPC - 09-23-2009 If your a lawful trader you are definetely allowed in Ropongi Station, Narita Outpost, Kishiro owned stations and any of GMG's installations within and outside of Kusari proper. All those named are more tolerant of visitors. IC being a visitor, Kishiro being less traditionalistic and Narita being the foreign quarters desgnated by the Kusari lawfuls. After that you can get into which company you are specifically doing trade with. For example if you work for DSE than you got routes with Samura as well but probably restricted to the Gate site in Hokkaido. Bretonnia will pride itself on it's huge bureaucracy. Kusari will pride itself on it's "civilized" formalities. Once again - Kusari - Camtheman Of Freelancer4Ever - 09-24-2009 People think rhienland is complicated. REALLY, its not. The Unioners are basically a Workers union, fighting for shipyard worker's rights in violent ways. Red Hessians are a bunch of miners. Nothing about it is that complicated, However, Liberty is the simplest in my eyes, Rhienland is next, then bretonia, then corsairs, then kusari then Outcasts. Once again - Kusari - Elsdragon - 09-24-2009 Whats so complex about the OC? Plutocracy, Rich dude with the most hired guns wins Once again - Kusari - Drake - 09-24-2009 ' Wrote:Outcasts, Corsairs, LR, Buccaneers, and the Lane Hackers to some extent.Outcasts and Corsairs are certainly not plain old pirates, and the Hackers are sorta, but sorta not. The only NPC factions who are truly 'generic' pirates are the Liberty Rogues and Gallic Brigands. That's one of the biggest reasons why the Bretonian Buccaneers sprung into being. Everyone else has a political or idealogical goal of some sort, beyond simply making money. And, just to note... However the factions are supposed to relate to each other, I've seen more Hogosha in fighters and bombers (mostly bombers, to be honest) than I have in transports, and I've seen both Hogosha and FA openly allying with the KNF too often to count. One or twice I've seen Corsairs openly allied with the KNF, though that was a few months ago. And I'll have to agree that Kusari isn't terribly complex, not really. Maybe it's supposed to be, but it generally plays out to KNF/KSP/FA/Hogosha vs. GC/BD (and QCP mixed in there sometimes with the GC, though not the BD). I honestly can't say I've seen the FA or Hogosha treated as much more than KNF/KSP who can also be unlawful. Once again - Kusari - farmerman - 09-24-2009 I'd say there's a big circle of chaos in Kusari causing issues. I know when I'm on my GC, among the more lawful types, the potential for any interesting RP consists of basically the Black Dragons, Bacon, and a couple other people. I rarely seem to run into any other lawfuls who want to do things other than shoot me. And then most of the lawfuls have the "chase them down" reflex to a very high level - enough that thinking about fleeing a fight isn't even worth it. It's a kick to the unlawfuls. When I'm on my AFA, there's often times some interesting RP, but any attempt to check on the various foreign shipments (quality control, you know?) ends in oorp bitching or threats a much higher percent of the time than with anyone else. Many of the GC and BD types these days are quite fun to RP with at least. As Samura characters, I've only ever managed to meet the Dragons once, which kind of makes me sad. Of course, there are many options for trade and it seems that a lot of the people who do pirate seem to go to the least effective spots (Seriously, within scanning distance of Planet New Tokyo?). So, really, it comes down to unlawfuls being frustrated by the idiot traders and a lot of the lawfuls, who in turn are that way because they're frustrated from the idiot traders and the less-than-bright pirates who also show up. In conclusion, the problem is that there are not enough nondumb, possibly corporate, traders making use of Kusari. ' Wrote:Would be nice if there were some Kusari > Liberty or Rhienland > Kusari routes, instead of all being blockade runs. There's that particularly nice one consisting of delivering Engine Components to Baltimore. Once again - Kusari - Benjamin - 09-25-2009 Yeah I'll have to chime in and say that the traders I meet in Kusari are by far the dumbest and most infuriating of all. They have caused me to be one of those 'supernova first, demands second' guys. Once again - Kusari - Elsdragon - 09-25-2009 Yep, whenever SOme guy just drifts, I Strip their shield with a pulse barrage. Then I get OORP bitching. I dont, Silent walkaway. But hey, At least I can go call IN A Raba To pick up the powersmuggled gold. And yes, I tend to pirate smuglers Mostly. Once again - Kusari - Benjamin - 09-25-2009 Exception for that TAZ guy who was the best guy I've pirated in months. But he was mostly conspicuous due to the total massive lack of competition in the 'good trader' stakes. |
