Able to attack anyone, Which may turn into PvPwhorism if not carefully managed/look after.
So the basis for our entire RP is a con? Wow, imagine that.
Able to attack anyone may be a Con or a Pro, As seen in the eyes of the beholder. For Capwhores, Its loved and cherished. God, People take things so literaly.
I simply meant that if not careful one may become well... PvpWhorish. Happens all the time. Good people go bad, Great RP'ers end up in the Failstorms.

PVP and RP co-exist. I'm a PVP-whore, I'll admit it openly to anyone who asks. Of course, that being said I love RP. My Phantom'll talk your head off and smile genuinely as she slits your throat and laughs as you bleed.
As for capwhores, we have one battleship that never sees the light of day, and two cruisers (maybe one, not sure) that aren't much used either. We're a VHF faction, mainly.

Unlike some whiners here, I've actually managed to survive an encounter with the Phantoms because A) they were hunting someone else, and B) I'm not a fool when it comes to triggerhappy psychotic evil bastards. (I know, typification, sorry >.>)

What he is saying is that sometimes shooting is part of RP. When a Bretonia Armed Forces shoots a Molly, it is a part of RP. When a terrorist shoots a trader, it is part of RP. This is just how RP works. Shooting happens at some point. As Zapp said, for some reason, we're conditioned to think that RPing is just paragraphs upon paragraphs of words that, most of the time, mean absolutely nothing.
Strangely, to some, meaningless words upon words are in fact bad RP. For example, a pirate who never shoots anyone has bad RP in my eyes. A Liberty Navy who continually warns a Rogue who is violent but never actually does anything has bad RP. A Hessian who doesn't shoot a Kruger shipper in Omega-7 has bad RP. A terrorist who doesn't shoot a trader who doesn't give the terrorist reason to not has bad RP.
Lets put it in a nice list for you, though:
- If Police let smugglers dock on police bases, they're not fulfilling their RP.
- If Navy don't counter large pirate threats, they're not fulfilling their RP.
- If pirates don't pirate traders, they're not fulfilling their RP.
- If activists don't attack their target corporations, they're not fulfilling their RP
- If Bounty Hunters don't hunt bountied pirates, they're not fulfilling their RP.
- If terrorists don't attack their targets, they're not fulfilling their RP.

Dear god.
The last time I RPed with the phantoms... it wasn't that bad. However, they spaced me rather quickly (ahem hiding behind my train so that the destroyer attacked me then snaced me when my shields were down >.>)

Ironically, I know for a fact that there are many, many pirates that get more kills than Phantoms do on a per hour basis.
You're better off making a pirate than joining the Phantoms if you want kills.
