"homeworld" replacements - kuth - 04-02-2010 Touketsu I hope that ship makes it in. The rest look good too. I just want the Touketsu because its hot. "homeworld" replacements - mt51784 - 04-02-2010 i actually like the changes you have made just wish the basalt would be more useful with that design "homeworld" replacements - Tenacity - 04-02-2010 ' Wrote:NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Mafic is ugly. The Dacite is too. My poor Mafic. Normally I fall in love with your designs but I can't stand how the Mafic isn't symmetrical. Asymmetrical is awesome though. "homeworld" replacements - Sprolf - 04-02-2010 I'd agree, the Mafic is far too random to be tastefully symmetrical, now that I look at it. It doesn't even look like it could fulfill its purpose. Spaceships gain nothing by being asymmetrical, and sure, it can be cool looking if it is - but this Mafic, it's a bit too far out there. What about a beefier version of the Basalt? That's based off of a BHG fighter... what if the Mafic was like a BHG gunship, given that it IS a SHF? The same argument can be used for the opposite, spaceships dont really have to worry about atmospheric flight, so they gain nothing by being symmetrical either. "homeworld" replacements - Sprolf - 04-02-2010 You try thrusting with an asymmetrical ship, and then you see how things go... The engine might need to be centralized, or symmetrical, but the ship itself has no need to be. "homeworld" replacements - Sprolf - 04-02-2010 It wouldn't work that way. It would be one hell of a ride trying to land the redesigned Mafic on a planet. |
