Purely biological. Doesn't requires much of the resources once it is spread. A desease or something. Simply, everyone dies. Or if not everyone, the ranks of t he enemy are weakened few times.
More likely a Virus. Yes which would be constantly mutating, so no cure from it. I think bio engeneering mitght make something in far future.

Why not, if a barge is bigger than most planets, play EK baseball? Like EK-side-spinning into a fighter battle in a zoner juggernaught, EK-sidespin into a planet in a barge, sending it into the sun! Theres your weapon of mass destruction right there.
