I think we are all forgetting something. During Mission 11 of the SP campaign, right after President Jacobi shoots the Nomad inside the Chancellor, she says;
"Burn, you son of a bitch."

That, and the T rating of this game, makes me think that we should probably include a COPPA agreement into server/forum membership and allow up to T-level language.

I agree to the "Simpsons rule" described in the first post...I mean, hey, the place were kids learn all the swearing words is their school, not online RPG-Servers...at least, it was like that when I was in my early school years.
Mentioning words like "bastard" or "****" won't do any harm to kids. Besides, I don't think childs 10-12 would even care to play on this server, if they play Freelancer, they would play it for the action.

There are several players with families that have shown interest in our universe.
Many members of these families are fairly young.
Maybe (probably) they already know these curse words, but who are we to encourage their use?
If Freelancer has a teen rating, and we have the ability to help make it more of a general audience rating, why not make it so all ages can enjoy this wonderful game?

The fact is, the violence, strong drug themes, almost rapelike Nomad impregnation scene, cop killing, kamikaze, kidnapping and dog-and-small-children-scaring hideous backgrounds in some areas warrant this a teen. And there is vanilla examples of swearing up to "Bastard" and "Bitch". So I think that we should, as we are supposed to be an unofficial expansion pack to FL, treat it as a Teen game. Nearly all forums require COPPA agreements anyway.
