Okay, my new and improved perspective:

Shago should probably have a better RP for a big battleship. I still say it takes enough guts to fly it to be a noteworthy attempt, though.

LoTeK is being very dominating. He has a valid point about Shago, but he's trying to actively impress his will on the poor guy.

Allocutus sensed an extremely dangerous thing about this and mad his attempt to cool things off. Unfortunately, he overstepped, the plan backfired, LoTeK took it badly, and now everybody ever having anything to do with the KNF now hates Allo.

Doug is defending his mates.

Arthad has no reason to be here. At all.

Duke also doesn't need to be here.

I don't think anybody needs to be here, me included. Let's all close op shop, hurry back to our ships, and enjoy what little time we have in this wonderful world of Freelancer.

The rules state that you must roleplay.

Shagohad isn't doing so.
bluntpencil2001: OK. For the sake of discussion, let's say that you're right that Shagohad isn't roleplaying at all. Does that give KNF the right not to roleplay by going against RP by making Shagohad's character KOS, even though he has a KSP tag and ID? Do you really believe that two wrongs make a right? KNF is out of RP, too. KNF and it's leader should know better.

Now, I fully except to be accused that I'm out of RP. Guess what? As I said earlier, I hate power-hungry despots with a passion and that will be true IRL, in RP and OOC. I hope that I've been clear enough.

By the way, I was role-playing before most of you ever heard of RP and before some of you were born.

Eppy, the RP in Disco is all the players' business.

The military should be dominating. It's their job! Lotek is doing a great job at it with KNF's RP and should be praised for it.

@Juan: The KNF are RPing. It has been illegal to fly Battleships in Kusari without their permission for ages.

Hunting pirates - Drake - 10-15-2007

I believe he was roleplaying... Though perhaps not up to the standards that many players here have. He was apparently scanning traders for contraband, which was certainly within RP. The only OORP fact was the battleship, which he didn't/doesn't believe is out of roleplay.

Edit: In before Hoodlum closes the thread! :P

Then I think their RP is horrible. Making a player KOS when he has a KSP tag and ID is BAD RP!

He broke the law. His RP is bad. The law says 'Battleships are illegal without our permission' and has said so for a very long time.

Hunting pirates - Eppy - 10-15-2007

That's not right, not sure where you're getting that... Server law does not say that, and while a faction can say that, it is not absolute and is in very bad taste.

This is pointless. Lock the thread, somebody, please.

Hunting pirates - bluntpencil2001 - 10-15-2007

A faction can decide they are hostile to anyone if they have good RP reasoning behind it.

All Kusari Battleships being needed to fight Bretonia instead of acting as police cars is a good reason to me.

Hunting pirates - Spear - 10-15-2007

Ok I've just read my way through this.

As was said earlier there are plenty of Battleships owned by independants flying around wether they are choosing to RP as Police, Military or a Merc.

Shago like many others on this server earned the money to buy his BS and choose to RP as a Police vessel, there are many others on the server who have done the same without joining an established clan.. I don't know if there is more behind this like flaming and some bad blood but it seems to me that an established lawful faction declaring a Lawful (independant) BS of their own house is a little unreasonable and certainly not good RP.

If this is the way the KNF have been operating in Kusari for awhile then fair enough, but you can't really expect everyone to know this..

Trying to be totally objective what I see is a player being victimised for failing to bend to the will of an established clan.. Is there more behind this? Because thats how it comes across..

Peace

He earned the money to fly a BS!??

Excuse me, but there are dozens of billionaires on Earth that have earned the money to operate an operational aircraft carrier, but they don't, for obvious reasons.

There is more to flying a BS than money.
