Ian Holmes strode in, a bag on his shoulder, still fingering the fresh TF7 insignia on his uniform. It would take some getting used to, but he was proud of the honor.
He looked around the bar, and couldn't help but wonder at the places he had risen to since Trafalgar.
Seeing one of his new comrades, he sat down at a stool near her, gently setting the bag down on the floor.
"Bartender, a Sidewinder Fang, if you please."
He turned to Allison.
"Hello miss, good to meet you. This place is a bit much, innit? A lot fancier than what I'm used to. Almost feel like i should be drinking with a finger out. It will take some getting used to. But manners. I am Ian Holmes."

She swings her head over, and raises an eyebrow while looking at Ian.
"Buddy, you think this is fancy? You must be blind"
She takes a sip from her glass
"Anyways, I'm Allison Cain, one of your new commanders. Welcome to the Honolulu, and I designed the bar myself..."
She looks around
"Cost a pretty penny, but it annoys sis, so it was well worth it!"
She grins

"Not fancy? Commander, most of the dives i've spent my drinkin' time in didn't have unstained seats, backlighting effects, or avant garde furniture. Compared to a Junker or Zoner bar, this place is the Queen's own ballroom."
The bartender leaned across the bar.
"Sir, we don't have a Sidewinder Fang."
"As expected. Liberty bases never do. Dry gin then. Plain. Columbo's if you have it, else anything will work."
"Anyways, Commander Cain, what is it you officers do for fun around here besides drinking? On Trafalgar, and Freidstadt, and a dozen other bases besides, the only forms of entertainment are drinking whiskey till you drop, singing, and chasing the lasses. And frankly, I can't hold my whiskey like I used to."
He took a sip from his glass. The gin was very smooth.

Bob strolls into the bar looking quite pleased with himself, he walks over to Allison, and sits next to her, ordering a water.
"Hello there again pretty lady, how are you doing?"
He is given his glass of water,which he sips from. He looks at Ian
"Oh, pardon me I did not mean to interrupt your conversation, I am Bob Evans."
He extends his arm for a hand shake

Ian took the hand and shook firmly.
"Ian Holmes. A new recruit fresh from the Secondary."
He very intentionally said nothing about the man ordering only a glass of water.

"Hey Evans, I'm doing great, how about you?"
She puts down her glass, and orders a martini.

Evans is impressed with Ian's potential
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr.Holmes, I am a part of the secondary as well, my flagship is the Alluring.Endeavour but I have brought me Guardian to land on Allison's fine ship."
To Allison "I am doing pretty good. How did you like the dinner? I know I got called away really suddenly, but at least it was when we were leaving anyways."
He continues to sip sip from his glass, wondering if he should switch to something with liquor, it was his off period...
