like mentioned before, the other way would be to use milkshape to import the *.cmp models
the good thing is, once you've done that you can export it from milkshape (together with the textures) to many other formats. Which you can then and load them with programs for rendering/raytracing and fancy stuff like that. (like rendering with an alpha channel so you wont even have to use the magic wand in photoshop)
do that and the possibilities are endless... and so is the time and effort you can put into it :laugh:
anyway, its really worth giving it a try if you believe you have to much spare time. :ylove:

can you do renders with guns attached? Like the sabre in my sig. Cos I wanna re-do the whole thing, make it better and pretty looking, and frankly the centrepeice looks a bit crappy.
Edit: just spoke to yuri about it and you can't put weapons on ships with cmp inporter apparently. however you can import models of weps. so maybe one fo you nice nice people could make some renders of guns for me. a few different angles would be lovely. I also need a render of a raven's talon and an eagle
