Battlefield 3 - Pingu! - 06-08-2011 All battlefield series have always been nice, I really enjoyed BF2 and Bad company 2, that freedom, to use vechiles, planes, helicopters and everything else is just awsome, but meh, battlefield was never "good" for competitive gaming. But anywasy, I'm looking forward to this one:) Battlefield 3 - BaconSoda - 06-11-2011 I'm really looking forward to this, but my main concern is mod tools. I'm not a modder, but in BF 1942 I played the Desert Combat and Experience World War II mods extensively. Likewise for the Point of Existence 2 Mod for Battlefield 2. I don't understand the decrease in mod support since 2142 but I really hope EA/Dice reconsiders their hand with mod tools and returns to releasing a fully modifiable engine. Sometimes I just want to use an G36K instead of an M4 and at other times I just want to use an L86 instead of an M249 SAW (don't worry about the wisdom in this). Does releasing the tools to do this give any negative? Unless you call releasing an audience from captivity a negative, not really, no. Also, I really hope the unlock system returns to the Battlefield 2 style of unlocks. The air of professionalism is worth so much. Hardcore mode does a lot for realism, but that's still really shattered when you're shooting an American using an AN-94 Akaban while you're a Russian with an M16A3. Battlefield 3 - ivr56 - 06-11-2011 ' Wrote:I'm really looking forward to this, but my main concern is mod tools.Hard to see us getting them. Just because of the Engine. They did mention it is possible down the road. So one can hope. Commo Rose from BF2 is in BF3. Not in the Gamescom build though. - Confirmed by DICE CM Origin is Required for all Copies - Confirmed by Lead Desgner. Map Size (Of GC Demo): http://media.pcgamer.com/files/2011/08/Bat...3-1-590x381.jpg That locked copy of BF3 will be staring at me in Origin for the next 2 months :( Battlefield 3 - torchwood - 08-16-2011 the thing about this game is its always large scale, this is no different, jets, planes, tanks, and destructable buildings:Dgod i cant wait Battlefield 3 - Febreze - 08-16-2011 BF3 means I can stop trying to find a BF2 key code! Praise the lords! Battlefield 3 - jxie93 - 08-17-2011 Nice dig. I'd rather run Origin than Steam. At least it doesn't take 3 hours to update whenever it wants to. Battlefield 3 - ivr56 - 08-17-2011 ' Wrote:I'd rather run Origin than Steam. At least it doesn't take 3 hours to update whenever it wants to.Some rather findings. Origin seems to use 2 to 3 times more resources idle then Steam does with 3 windows+2 chats (1v1 and Group) open. That is not right for a prgram that does not do much. Hopefully by the time Origin is out of Beta its more optimized and lighter. I never had a issue with Steam updates. I get both client and game updates as soon as they are pushed live. Patching client or upgrading to a Beta update takes little under a minute tops Battlefield 3 - Domjan - 08-17-2011 ' Wrote:The fact that EA are publishing it means that something about it will be less than perfect or broken, they always manage to screw the consumer somehow. Wrong: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Cuv0Uet1A4 Battlefield 3 - ivr56 - 08-17-2011 Good news for BF3 console players. DICE CM confirmed BF3 consoles is getting a server browser ontop of matchmaking. To echo the above poster ' Wrote:The fact that it's coming out for PC, PS3 and Xbox when Battlefield is more a PC-only type game... I see this as either having ModernWarfare2-syndrome or being another Call of Duty game. Just because a game is coming to consoles does not mean its following in CoD's path. That is a VERY big stereotype. |
