It seems to be more about getting the ID than anything.
Which is grand really.
Though, one request would be that all official factions are granted the option of their own ID if there is sufficient cause for it.
One that comes to mind is the VE.

The only stipulation I've ever maintained, admin dev or otherwise, for an ID is a measure of provable time (about a year) with a generic ID. As opposed to employing a factional ID for convenience and then leapfrogging over. Same call that was handed to the VR back in the day when they jumped from the Hacker ID.

Though the choice is on the shoulders of the admin team.

Edit: I'm taking off for a bit. Talk to you folks later!

Well so much positive stuff. Nice too look at.

Anyway. There is few things I might like to ask. Perhaps it was becouse of fight. That is for you clear out.

Now I've already noticed all of you guys run away then you get pushed into the corner or loosing fight. Or rely on numbers then can't take someone one on one. It's np, that's not a problem, don't understand me wrong. For mercinary to run from a fight who has his marketing reputation "trademark" is important not to become victim himself then he suppose to be the hunter. So rp wise it's okey.

Now .. some sails know then I enter duels. That I win them or die trying. No bot feeds no anything. If the duel partner runs, all wingmates are ordered to attack him with all they got. Why I'm telling this? It's becouse I ussaly treat people same way they treat me what touches pvp it's really obviuos. Some might disagree, but I assume those who doesn't really spent time pew pewing with me side to side or against me much.

So we had this MM~ and Reaver encounter in Cali. All fine 2 vs 2. My character is always looking for reavers since they are main antagonist of his legacy (two totaly diffrent merc companies working for hostile buisness parters mainly). Pew pew.. fun stuff. Strong pilots, intresting fights and that little tense feeling in your fingers then you are clicking mouse buttons to fire up weapons. Really, I like those encounters.

Durning the fight 3rd Reaver comes. Opens fire on me. And I know I won't last long if I stay. Keeping in mind that los angeles was near I docked. Wrote to one of your guys

"//gf, it's always fun to fight ya guys : )" something like that. And expected similiar answer. you know something in lines of "// nice fight" or just a sign of sportsmanship I was really expecting. But I got nothing alltough I waited for about 2 mins.

The other MM~ was left to fight two reavers, becouse 3rd one disengaged and moved with his own buisness after it. For my surprise after MM~ fellow was killed, the same guy I wrote gf prised him for dying under their guns and not running.

Yep.. and my question would be:

1* Should I never expect sportsmanship from your faction?
2* Was that a mistake or becouse of the guy was fighting, that he couldn't write /r // gf back after a fight.
3* Should I understand it as passive Q_Q for running away not not letting to kill me like my MM~ wingmen who later got Kudos for dying.
4* Is that so, if you kudos to those who stays till the end, why you don't fallow that example yourself.

That would be all.

Thanks in advance.

Those sound like good questions to ask the players who were participating.

I was there too...I only remember Ghost Reaver, who attacked me for a few seconds then left, and Alluminium Reaver, the one who killed me. No idea how to get to them, though. ( I think Sina is still banned).

But since you're the guy who posted this proposal it is your duty to answer the questions.

If you don't want to answer questions such as these, then you really shouldn't be made official since the leaders are held accountable for the actions of their members.

Check the Reaver Bios linked in the op. The only current Reavers who lack a contact link are Inchworm, who is still working on his, and Emerald, who is Frozen and you will never meet in space ever on account of the fact that he doesn't really play and Veridian, who is Kapi and flies once every six months or so.

Aluminum was Elgatodiablo.

i was look on that list and didn't find Gold Reaver and i met him once in tau's. so he is new or some shared acc.
and i think for you faction to be a official... hmm better to be non official .... you not define some kind uniformity for you self's except you all wear some kind of color's and good in pew pew ... on the other way you should get rid of some all sirius stuff that you have on your ships, be what you are- mercenaries, and that ID already exist...

that my opinion...

OH GOD THE HORROR THE HORROR MY INNER GRAMMAR NAZI JUST KILLED HIMSELFS.
On the other hand, all of your concerns have been addressed in previous posts.
As to why they want to become official (to protect their name and get a new ID), their varied equipment usage (Go stuff it, they'll use whatever they want), the reason they want another specific ID( for repping purposes).
DarthBindo. +1ing....the awesome way.

Gold Reaver?

Doesn't exist in our group. We have no Gold Reaver. We have no shared accounts. If you have any questions or doubts check the bio listing for an inventory of active and inactive Reavers. Inactive are not to be considered part of the faction if seen flying. As unofficial factions have no control over naming conventions there's little we can do about it save issue a complaint and hope for the best.

To briefly address the bit about complaints: Naturally addressing serious issues is important. A 2vs3 where someone didn't get a kudos because of circumstance or annoyance doesn't rank. Nor am I particularly worried about addressing sweeping generalizations such as "Will I ever expect sportsmanship". If the scenario you encountered was worthy of triggering that question the answer is likely no.

As memory serves the MM who got kudos fought a deb sabre which had been setup to deal with a gunboat for an ungodly amount of time and fought to the death, when both ships were barely teetering on the edge of victory or loss. It was considered by Aluminum and ourselves to be an epic fight which could have gone either way at a moment's notice. That deserves a high five.

In cases such as day to day fights I think it's much healthier for the individual persons to communicate with one another than by proxy of faction leaders. If you're frustrated over an encounter talk to the people involved. Maybe you'll all get to know one another. Maybe you'll all become chums. This is just one faction on a wider server. The person you fight today is the person you fly next to tomorrow.

Sorry. Net's about dead. I'll try to catchup when I get home later on. Ciao.
