Admin Notice: Server testing #2 - AniodD - 03-07-2011 I really like the fact that local chat is default. Prevents newbies from shouting around the system constantly:) Admin Notice: Server testing #2 - AeternusDoleo - 03-07-2011 ' Wrote:In caps.Oh! Yes! Please, caps taking damage from big roids would, no pun intended, rock. That way unlawfuls can actually flee into an asteroid/scrap field and force caps to disengage. I do see a potential problem for the Hegemon though... Quote:Getting rocks right into the hold is great, yes, until you realize the problems for lesser mining ships and, most importantly, that people can't steal each other's ore anymore. When it's about corporate "competitions" of different mining factions who don't like each other but don't want to shoot first, it's a great way to do it.Thieving is thieving. This way you can't do the cruise-by-snatch without stopping and cracking open a miner. Which may not be easy. But Cannon's working on something for the small miners, once those join in again I imagine we'll be seeing ore pellets again. Fewer, but bigger ones. Admin Notice: Server testing #2 - Kuze - 03-07-2011 This new default local chat is just totaly.freakin.awesome :-D Admin Notice: Server testing #2 - Anonymous User - 03-07-2011 ' Wrote:Also, omega-11 mining spots - all of them - give really, really low drops. ye... tried it several times nao... silver in O-11 stopped after a bit more than 10 minutes and ~500-600 units of ore no matter what time it was... Admin Notice: Server testing #2 - Stuart.croll - 03-07-2011 Since the mining was switched back on I have added three affiliated miner chars with Hegs to different fields around the map. Namely Cambridge (Beryllium), Dresden (Cobalt) and Omega 7 (Silver). I have always had a miner In Tau 23 (Niobium). I never did the Dublin thing. Sounds like too much trouble to be honest. The point is I've been bouncing all over the place but all the drops I'm getting regardless of the time of day are pretty pants to be honest. Especially as the price at point of sale has dropped by 25%. I'm not whining I'm just saying it the way I see it. I would prefer some consistency in profit expectations. I always agreed that the sites should be expanded to numerous locations but if the drops are bad everywhere then where's the point in that? Admin Notice: Server testing #2 - ryoken - 03-07-2011 I love the new mining set up. But i would like to see alot more mining area's. To many at present show mining area's that drop nothing, and alot of other mining area's that drop items no one is willing to mine. For example: Water, oxygen, Hydro carbons, and so on. Water and Oxygen sell for what?300 max? and hydro carbons sell's for 1K which is respectable, but has horible drop rates,as in no bonus. I even tried my BMM miner in BMM Hydro carbon field. was geting 1-3 per drop. No point mining there for that drop rate,if selling for 1k only all the way in NB. Right now their is basically still just the 3 systems everyone is still mining in. Cannon is doing great work. But alot more is needed for this new mining set-up to work fully as intended. Admin Notice: Server testing #2 - Pelican - 03-07-2011 one slight quirk, formation with a cap is now paramount to suicide. Anyway to remove collision damage for groups maybe? or during formation? Admin Notice: Server testing #2 - AeternusDoleo - 03-07-2011 No, but there is a simple solution. Don't form on caps. Admin Notice: Server testing #2 - [Cerberus] Illusive Man - 03-07-2011 Once again nice work, Cannon. Something is still not working yet though. I couldn't find Uncut Diamonds in Omega-11. |
