La Famille de la Brise de Mer - Lunaphase - 12-05-2011 Ask a stupid question... get a stupid answer. \(o.0)/ La Famille de la Brise de Mer - NixOlympica - 12-05-2011 You don't see it Fran? Apparently bunch of GRN officers that probably got accidentally warped here from Riddik's universe defects every day to Brigands being accepted to them while stealing a battleship along. La Famille de la Brise de Mer - fencore - 12-05-2011 All right, let's move this along. You all well know that the style of picking on the person throwing feedback your way doesn't work. Take what they're saying regardless of whatever faction's history. They may not be perfect, but what's being suggested can help your faction grow. Or you can nod, shove it aside, and let things roll. that's your call. But let's not pick at each other. Same goes for those providing feedback. This is their faction, not yours. You don't need to beat them over the head with "suggestions" - they don't have to run it the way you want, and they don't have to roleplay the way you want them to. Dropping a line or two, making suggestions, having discussion is all well and good, but understand where that line stops. If you think you can do it better and they aren't being receptive to your "feedback", go make your own faction or let it go. Remember, the judgement is still pending. Two months until the vote. Actions speak louder than words. La Famille de la Brise de Mer - Pinko - 12-06-2011 ' Wrote:Ok, in that case on behalf of the LE, i shall spell it out for you. The labrise, before the current incident, have twice gone to open war footing against the brigands. Twice they have been hammered into submission, and have never regained their trust. Now you quite litterally tell us to *nommed by a grue* -Gheis in the comm channel and expect the brigands, who lore wise outnumber you by a rather large magnitude, to continue giving you technology and allow you to interfere in their buisiness? Your reply to the council as well, has pretty much meant aside from the grp when grn arent around, you have no more supply line. The entry into gallia is controlled atm by council and brigands, so there goes that, and the other way is to OC space, hostile to your group. Your basically biting the hand that feeds you, and are going to feel the consequences for it, since you refuse to rp your side of the conflict you started. We don't refuse to roleplay it, it's how we decided to roleplay it. Heck, I've done nothing but roleplaying. I interpret my faction's lore the way I want to interpret it, and my interpretation isn't any wronger than the UC's. Plus, I never really minded being against the [UC], and the aspects of it which bother me (which are truly slim) aren't relevant to you, on "behalf of the +LE+". And what if all this wasn't just part of a larger plot which you may be unaware of? To justify the way I act (and I really don't have to), I base myself on the lore I have for my faction, and the NPC rumors I have. Quote:Unione Corse Nowhere does it say I have to respect the Brigands. There isn't even a single mention of them in all this. Nowhere does it say I need to work for the Council. No rumors in game suggest we respect you. No rumors in game suggest we work for you (if anything, the rumors suggest we even work each on our side of the fence). If anything, only their relations to the Royals is mentioned, as well as a respect for the Maquis since they stay out of our damn business. So there you go. This is what we're rolling with. EDIT: Plus, the whole "This isn't how your faction is supposed to be played" argument, wether it's right or not, doesn,t really matter when the faction which states it isn't even a "vanilla" version of their faction, not that it matters to my eyes or my members', anyway. I'm simply making a point. La Famille de la Brise de Mer - Alley - 12-06-2011 Alright, I had enough seeing this. if LaBrise want to act outside of their lore, it's -their- problem, not yours SMI, nor yours Lunaphase. You are not in LaBrise, stop telling them how they should behave, especially when you are part of a faction that is an extremely bad example of how a lore should be followed for the whole community. How exactly can you even say they act out of their lore ? It's -you- that don't understand how the corse is meant to be played, hell you don't even understand the faction you're supposed to play as. A corse family is completely independant diplomacy wise. If they want to wage a war with the brigands it's -their- problem. The corse families are groups that are semi-lawful for a good reason. Their only goal is to reach their objectives and they do not care if they have to work with the royals to achieve such a goal, or with the unlawfuls. Their agenda is not necessarily the same as others Corse families. Some may even want to attack another Corse family simply because it's beneficial for them. If Labrise declare war on the +LE+, which I'll precise again like I had to do for the past year while you have seemed to be completely deaf about this fact even though so many players tried to explain you something that simple, it's only ONE brigand group. You may be now the most "influent" one (this is how you can display your status of official faction when related to the brigand lore), the fact that it's green cells is completely understandable because no matter your influence, there'll always be a brigand willing to make a deal to smuggle a few ship to them for his personal benefits. La Famille de la Brise de Mer - Disco - 12-06-2011 I thought the Corse were similar to the Hogosha? La Famille de la Brise de Mer - Alley - 12-06-2011 Hogoshas are, very very simply put, lawful orienteds that can pirate and considered innocent by the authorities as long as they are not caught. Corse are people that work with both sides of the fence as long as they need to for their own business. They don't care to betray the royals to help the council for example, as long as they find an interest in doing so. But if the royals come with a more interesting offer, they won't hesitate to switch side, if not even work for both at the same time if the situation makes it possible. La Famille de la Brise de Mer - Osilon - 12-06-2011 >LaBrise thread >Discussion about +LE+ >????? >Arrow in the knee. La Famille de la Brise de Mer - Pinko - 12-06-2011 ' Wrote:I thought the Corse were similar to the Hogosha? To put it in Kusarian terms: We're not exactly the Hogosha because the Hogosha never associate themselves with some factions, such as the Blood Dragons or the Golden Crysanthenums, even if they would be given the opportunity to. The Corse would associate with anyone if it is profitable, then backstab them as soon as something more profitable comes along. And then, as I was writing this, I was thinking "REAAAAAVEEEERS". I don't think the link is this far-fetched. La Famille de la Brise de Mer - Dane Summers - 12-07-2011 As long as you understand there are consequences to backstabbing your allies, then feel free to make that a part of your diplomacy - my opinion is, that while that sounds nice, in practice its a stupid idea. But yeah, Reavers get away with it, so why shouldnt everyone else, right? Honestly, actively shooting +LE+ should get you an FR5, and no more access to there tech, except whats sold on your own bases |
