The ultimate definition of freedom is freedom of information.
Though I cannot say I would support making such a definition reality.

The industry was slow to change as the net & file sharing were growing roots. They prefer their old system as opposed to the current system because with theirs, they can better control product & profit. They lobby, they get a draconian bill drafted up, & they back off when people freak over it. They will sit on their thumbs for a while, lobby & get a draconian bill drafted up that simply sounds less draconian. They will not however, truly adapt to change. They will just boil us over time like frogs because they still control the keys to the pop culture that defines our society.
Personally, I prefer the Robin Hoods.
